I'm packing it in for the night, dear ones. Everyone be safe. The Site Goddess hopes to be pulling out and heading for Jacksonville at 2 pm EDT on Tuesday. So, all of you hold good thoughts, light candles or do whatever you do to insure that she and hers get where they are going safe and sound!

Iced tea here. Lots of it! It's gonna be in the high 90s here the next 3 days.
As for smilies, I'm gonna be getting my smilie list organized so it can be used and post it in the smilie forum. Not an ideal solution but it will do until we get the smilie bugs worked out. Maximum hugs, Oh Great Site Goddess!

Didn't even hit 90 degrees today, strange summer weather for Houston.

Austin is one degree from hitting 100, also strange. 

It's nearly August and neither city has broke 100 yet. hm...

Currently 101 degrees here in The Heartland.  Been trying to tell Heph to turn down the forge.  No use.  Been up since 5:30 A.M.  worked a full eight hours.  Gotta go home to face finances, kitchen and laundry.  OHBOY,OHBOY,OHBOY!!!  The silver lining is, "FOUR DAYS TIL VACATION!"   Thanks be.  Havn't had one for nine months.  Be broadcasting from The Bluegrass next week.

Just got off the phone with AmaKaliani. They are nowhere near ready to leave. It now looks like they will hit the road at about 5 or 6 local time (EDT). If I'm online when they pull out -- and I probably will be, the next update will be from Doc or Ashe. I reminded our Site Goddess that blood would stain the carpets and killing anyone would put them even more behind schedule.  That should keep her from doing mayhem...should, I hope.....

About to head to school to do some studying.
Gotta call up 8 stores to see if their pharmacy is hiring, would've been 16 but I asked a friend to do me a favor and call the other 8.

Okay, I've been in touch with Lorrie. Very heavy weather is moving in. The cold front that is going to break the heat wave is coming through there. She or someone will be back and let us know how everyone is. If we don't hear anything, they are probably all out of power. Hold a good thought for them!
