	I've spent the day wrestling with the Darklord...his Castle character! Not the man himself. (Unfortunately! giggle) So get yer minds out of the gutter!! Anyway, I've been working out the details of the Darkord's biography -- what I know of it -- and trying to reconcile some things that were put in the story at the spur of the moment by our beloved DK. One thing is sure. The Darklord is older than he looks given some of the things that DK told me before REAL LIFE swallowed him. [Petitioning the Gods to strike dead whatever it is that is keeping him away...] How much older is what I'm trying to work out now. I've got a number of factors to juggle so that people in his life, especially his Master who basically raised him, are within a certain age range. I am sooooo glad that I specified in the Atlas entries that "Oldkin" blood extends lifespans and shows up frequently. I'm also working out what sort of effects being infected with Living Vampire Virus has on an individual aside from the obvious ones and figuring out how to write it up in the game system I use. He also knows a bit of Necromancy and I have to figure out exactly what he can do and get that written up. Fortunately, the Hero Games people put out a lot of genre books and supplements so it is just a matter of pulling out the right book to find what I need. I'll get it posted somehow when it is done -- the board is having issues with my word doc in this instance! grrrrrr -- and then I get to wonder if I got it right....

	Yesterday was not a good day to get anything done! Oh well, another week is underway and the first thing on the "To Do" list is to pay the property taxes which are due on Friday. Nothing like cleaning out the bank account first thing in the morning! Spirit's birthday falls on Thanksgiving this year (Birthday cake and pumpkin pie for dessert.) and the girls are already talking about the dinner. We are probably going to pick up the turkey this week. I'm not feeling much in the holiday mood but the holidays are coming whether I'm ready or not....

	After much head scratching, number crunching and note making, I'm pretty sure I know how old the Castle versions of the Darklord and his brother are. This will help me keep the Darklord's story straight since he isn't around to do it. sniff [If you are beginning to suspect that I miss him. You're right.....] Anyway, I'm gonna start on his biography this week leaving out only those details that will be revealed in Book 3 and any other little surprises that our dear Darklord has failed to mention to me previously.... (Maybe he really does have a son out there....) Then, I'll do Penthesilea's bio which will be easier since she is MY character and I have a much better idea of what she has been up to the last thousand years or so! And then I'll be working with AmaKaliani, Ashe (when he gets back) and Doc on their characters so that if I find myself in a situation like I was last winter when Real Life swallowed everyone, I can either keep the ball rolling or, since we no longer have any compulsive workaholics in the group, just take a pause to breathe until we are ready to start up again.

	You know exactly who I am talking about. swat! I intend for Book 3 to be a considerably more pleasant experience for all involved than Book 2 was -- especially for me!

	Yeah. DK's first Castle post was on October 6 and "we" were in bed by Yule and showing the rest of them how it was done. I could wish that he hadn't "saved the best for the last" though.. but never let it be said that the Darklord lets any grass grow under his feet -- especially in the bedroom!! He left a trail of broken hearts behind him and not all of them were fictional.... Penth Who is looking forward to writing really naughty stuff with the Darklord...

	Finally got the computer away from the Firstborn. I've solved a puzzling problem that I was having (HTML related.), found something online I've been wanting for a while and bought and put together two small storage units that I've been needing. So, it is a good day -- in spite of missing two little black angels... We are having an Indian Summer day today. All the cats, including the grumpy War Queen have been outside for a while. Samson got on the roof again and Hubby had to retrieve him. And the new little boy saw his first deer today. He was cautious as he watched them from the front steps but after a bit, the tip of his tail began to twitch....
