	Ama, that sounds like a STORY... Went & gamed with friends today, Harp system. My first time with real people - no kidding. Mog decided to join in too, her first time in ANY rpg. I told Mog that if she wanted, she & Doc & I would set aside some time on the weekends for at least the three of us, and more if we can get people over, to game together. Honestly, I never had a real chance before, and the math of it always seemed slow & daunting to me... but that was the most I've laughed in a LONG time.

	We also spent the day with friends. She has Lupus really bad and they don't socialize that much. Today was a bad day as she was in considerable pain but we are good enough friends that she doesn't have to pretend to feel good when she feels rotten. They just got a new Apple computer after years of lesser, Windows-based machines so the Hubby spent most of the afternoon getting it set up and showing them how to use different things and were to find the free software.

	THEY ARE RIPPING THE ROOF OFF!!! THAT'S WHAT'S HAPPENING!!!!The whole house is vibrating and I'm hoping that all the light fixtures stay up! I have three very alarmed cats in the house. Spirit has gone outside -- to watch I think. The noise in the house is bothering her. -- and they just punched a hole in the kitchen ceiling. Gotta go..

	Yeah. We are paying good money for it too. Apparently the roof was in worse shape than we thought and one of the roofers put his foot through the decking right into my kitchen. Home Depot has called falling all over themselves in apology and saying that they will fix my ceiling. They'd better. My dining room ceiling is damaged too. Too close to the comp for comfort. I had to disconnect it and put it under the table until they were done stomping around.

	Yeah, two days early. I guess that the Powers That Be found it easier to speed up the roofers than to delay the rain that is supposed to be here by Wednesday which was the day they were scheduled to start. They should be done with the roof by tomorrow night. No word on when my ceilings will be fixed. Having slabs of ceiling material hanging down in front of my cabinets is a complete pain in the patoot!

	Gonna make an early night of it. Since the roofers didn't tell me when they would be back in the morning we are expecting them as soon as it is light enough to see. I've no doubt that the Hubby will be up on the roof checking things out once they are back and have taken the tarp off. So, nite all. I'll see you in the a.m. sometime!

	We got our tree up last weekend when Spirit got the Yule bee in her bonnet and started dragging the decorations out of storage! When she started wrestling the tree in the front door, we took the hint!! Right now, I've got a bunch of heavy footed guys on the roof with hammers, saws and large sheets of plywood. Another noisy day....

	Well ladies and gentlemen, here we are. Today marks Serenity Sanctuary's 6 month anniversary. What a ride! There are still a lot of things that I want to do with HOME and maybe now that the roof is replaced and the madness that the Christmas Holiday is about to pass I'll have a chance to dig into them. And I know that most -- if not all -- of you are buried under the demands of real life: jobs, kids, education, significant (or maybe NOT so significant!) others and all the details of life. And you feel bad because you can't contribute like you want to the site. Please, please, PLEASE -- don't worry about it! The pleasure of your company is enough. Come in, sit down and relax for a while before heading out into the real world again. Let everyone know what is happening with you so we can cheer you on or commiserate as the situation requires. When we started building this place, we referred to it as HOME and that is what we want it to be -- a home, a little oasis of calm and love and laughter in a real world that sometimes is almost too much to bear. So come HOME. The door is always open...

	Here I am again in the middle of the night! Yawn! Nike and I had a rather short conversation -- only 2 hours, 20 minutes -- but I got her up to speed on things. Gods willing, she will have internet access at home in a month to a month and a half. I'll be baking again tomorrow but will be popping in and out. The Hubby will be working but we'll have him home on Monday. Yea!!! I'll be on some time during the day on Monday since we will be spending the day at home, as usual. If I don't catch you, have a Merry Christmas if that is your holiday and a Merry Monday if it isn't!

	Hubby has one more shift to work and the Holiday Rush will be over!! YaHOOOOOOOO!!! As for me, I'm not leaving the house again until Tuesday unless it is a dire emergency and it would have to be pretty damned dire, let me tell you! 	Happy Solstice gang! Sorry I haven't been on but I got hit with a bad cold... makes me kinda unsociable. lol Just now starting to feel better, and I've been off work since Thurs noon. Glad I had the downtime though... last time I felt this lousy & didn't get any better, I nearly ended up with pneumonia.
