I stand here silently beside you.
Trying to see the world as you do.
Happy joyful people playing and laughing
Hugging and holding each other.
I cry silently in the shadows
A stranger to this world unable to understand
The emptiness inside me consumes me.
I stand here hopelessly outside your world.
Wishing that my tears, like the rain, would wash away the sorrow in my heart,
As you stare out with wide eyed wonder.
