There have been some revolutionary changes in chardonnays as well, in the WA state and CA winemaking industries.

I always encourage experimentation.  That was the best part of my wine business, when I had it.  I did a lot of experimenting with Chilean, New Zealand, Spanish, etc. wines that aren't always easily get-atable here in the US.

Yo Ho!  I'm here, I'm here!  We must call an order of the Wine Ho's tout de suite!!!!

I need to inventory all the wines and champagnes we got for our engagement party and wedding, I know we got a 2001 Napa Valley Silver Oak that I'm dying to pop open (but alas, will await special occasion meh).  

We have loads of fine champagnes in the fridge and our new wine hutch.  I'll grab the cassis and make Kir Royale's for us all!  Any takers, come on - belly up  Wink

You add creme de cassis (a liqueur) to champagne.
