	I've gotten a lot done on the Castle today and while I still have some writing to do -- all new stuff incidentally which will get things set up for trouble down the road -- I'm thinking I'm gonna start posting tonight. So, since I should do something useful in the way of housework -- -- before I settle down to do that as well as some "exercises" that BR has suggested, I'm going to give the comp to MoonCat. Maybe she will find more YouTubes to post. I'll be back later. Hugs!!

	I just saw a wild turkey in my backyard today!! I was sitting at the comp, minding my own business when I happened to look out the back door and saw the bird strutting into the yard. I called for my Mom to look at it. It took off when it found out we noticed it. Earlier today, as we were driving to town, we saw something that looked like weasel running across the road. A few miles later, we saw a wild turkey walking on the roadside, making the recent sighting the second turkey I've seen today!

	That's very cool! Wild Turkeys are smart, wily critters, unlike their domesticated cousins. (Domestic Turkeys have been known to allow themselves to drown by opening their mouth and looking straight up when it's raining, letting the water flow right into their lungs.) Well, today is the big day for my Mom. She's turning in her Thesis for her Master's in History. I have a copy of it, but haven't had a chance to read it. Trish did and helped her correct some things (grammar and number agreements and simplification of the wording). I have my fingers crossed the Advisor's Board will pass it.

	Fingers crossed!!! There is a lot of wildlife around here and because we don't have a dog all of it wanders through our yard at one time or another! Skywise mentioned to some of our neighbors about seeing deer in our yard and they said: There are deer around here? They have 3 big loud dogs...

	We went up north this morning. We stopped by The Apple Store and indulged in a little Apple lust. drool! drool!! Skywise says that the new version of Mac OS X should be out in a couple of months and that is when we will get the new iMac. And yes, he still intends to get the 24 inch screen!

	I'm back. The wind is still blowing pretty good and we are under a thunderstorm watch for a couple more hours but the radar is looking pretty clear so I'm not too concerned.

	If any of you see news reports of tornadoes in Indiana, don't worry. They were way north of here. The wind is still blowing pretty good and they're talking about snow showers tomorrow! It's a good thing I didn't put out the strawberry plants I bought on Tuesday! I'm gonna keep those little babies inside until next week, I think!

	I am a happy woman! I found the entire run of "Smurfs" on DVD online at a price I can afford. It is ordered. They will ship Monday. We should have them by the end of the week.. AND THEN SPIRIT WILL STOP TYING UP THE COMPUTER WATCHING SMURFS EPISODES ON YOUTUBE!!!!! Like I said, I'm a happy woman. I'm giving Skywise the computer. I'll be back later.

	Well, it is official. Tomorrow is the first grass cutting of the season. The lawnmower is in shape and ready to go and Skywise is on his way into town to get gas for the mower. Of course, if gas prices get much higher, we might have to put up some fencing and borrow some of the neighbor's livestock to eat the grass!

	I love the smell of it too. It reminds me of my childhood. We have about 1.5 acres of lawn out of our just over 14 acres total. Fortunately, we have a good sized riding lawn mower or we would be cutting grass constantly.

	I don't think I could survive for long anywhere else. Cities put me on edge. I can tolerate Indianapolis and Bloomington (and similarly sized cities) for a while but anything bigger makes me crazy. Spending more than a few hours in Chicago, for example, turns me into the "Woman from Hell." I just can't handle the city's vibration.

	Well, most of our backyard is cut and Skywise is on his way to work. He'll get the rest of it tomorrow. That will be a full days job. Fortunately, all the tree stumps and rocks have long since been removed from the yard so things should go fairly quickly.
