	Just to give you guys a head's up. I just heard from Nike -- she's fine, just worked nearly to death -- and she will be calling me on Tuesday. So, I will be offline and out of service starting at 7 p.m. Central that night and I'll be back when I'm back. We two tend to be a tad long winded.....

	Perfectly understandable. I was tempted to linger in bed this morning myself. The only problem with that is that someone has to bring home the bacon as my beloved and I resigned ourselves too a couple of decades ago... Oh, and my "evil" paid off last night -- which is why we overslept a bit this morning.

	I finished talking to Nike about half an hour ago. She called early and we kept it short 'cause she and her brother had to pick up their mom at work and then they were going to dinner. The bestest news is that she is expecting to have internet access at home in a couple of weeks. So brace yourselves, she and I tend to get a little crazy when we connect.....

	We are going to be heading out to the Children's Museum shortly. Spirit has a bee in her bonnet about a new exhibit that she wants to see. We've heard about another museum in Indianapolis that we are going to have to check out before Nike gets here in September -- The Superhero Museum....

	We're back and a good time was had by all. The only downside was the presence of about three school groups on field trips and the noise was DEAFENING!! I am now pathetically grateful for my nice quiet country home....

	Since typing is a bit of a chore right now, I'm going to give the computer to Spirit and retire for the night with more ice. My left index finger got the worst of it and I'm hoping that it won't blister. I think I got the ice on it fast enough. Tomorrow will tell the tale. Everyone be safe and I promise -- I won't go near the stove until morning.....

	Well, I kept my promise. I made my breakfast in the microwave this morning! I'm going to have to heat water for tea shortly but the handle on the pan is heat resistant so I SHOULD be safe. I have a faint, whitish "T" shaped mark on my left index finger but it hasn't blistered so I think that the quick application of ice and energy saved me. Which is good, I have a lot to do today and a blistered finger would really get in the way!
