	congrats on the new specs! i sure could use a pair! theses are like 3, almost 4 years old.... of course, i havent been to then dentist in 11 years either..... but my teeth are still in good shape!

	Thanks. I should have had them changed years ago but what with needing three wisdom teeth pulled (mine), a root canal (me again), several new appliances, a new pump and a new roof, money for glasses just wasn't available. Skywise finally put his foot down and said that I was getting glasses before anything else happened!!

	OMM: Everyone involved in the situation seems to be perfectly happy with the outcome -- except me. Everyone's life seems to be better -- except mine. Being thrown away like last week's trash hurts. Having your reputation ruined hurts. Having been psychically gang-raped is indescribable. Being lied about hurts. Having the lies believed by those who should know better hurts even more. Having the liars get away with it is nearly unbearable. But yeah, it's me, so who cares, right? Well, I do. And I won't consider this finished until I'm dead. TODAY IS NOT FOREVER. That piece of wisdom might be from a comic book but it is true and I'm not called "Phoenix" for nothing.

	well Penth, you know youre always beyond cool in my book and anyone who begs to differ with ME is either very stupid, or straight up foolish, and either one shows how ignorant they really are. i may be young, but ive been in the buisness since before birth and have done things that would make the "know it alls" heads spin. omm... pissed and happy at the same time.

Thanks, BA. I'm inclined to think that "arrogant" would probably describe the people we are talking about and I'm thinking that they will learn humility at some future point. And I know why you are happy and I'm happy about it too.

	Oh this is interesting.... I can't seem to turn off my email program. This isn't a particular problem. I usually keep the email on whenever I'm online but I'm wondering why the "pull down" with the "Quit Mail" command disappeared. ETA: Fixed. I shut down the computer and restarted. Whatever command had confused the mail program's tiny mind must have been canceled when the power was turned off. Anyway, I can now turn my mail off when I want to and there are no worries about some vicious alien "bug" worming its way through my innocent computer's insides as part of a fiendish plot to take over the world...

	I'm a bit cranky tonight. My new glasses weigh 1.4 ounces. My old glasses weigh 1.2 ounces. That doesn't seem like much until it is resting on your nose. And your ears. And the left lens is especially thick and because the lens is bigger (top to bottom) than my old glasses it is digging ever so slightly into my eyebrow at the bridge of my nose. The shafts of my new frames are much narrower than my old ones which causes the weight to be concentrated on a smaller area of the ear. MoonCat reports that I'm developing a nice set of dents on the top of my ears but, thankfully, no blisters. I'm trying real hard to avoid the blisters.... In short, I have just enough discomfort to be irritated but it but not enough to justify taking painkillers. Otherwise, the new glasses are fine. I just have to get through the breaking in period.
