Oh yeah... I got the pricing on the new tat also... $120 'cause I want it on the back of my neck, I think.  They're going to have to stencil it out for me first, as we had to enlarge it for detail.... so I may move it elsewhere.  We'll see!

Well, I have ordered relentlessly online and everything that CAN be ordered online has been. The new checks, unfortunately, must be done the old fashioned way. On the plus side, I should have the makings of my new rainbow moonstone ring -- to go with my old faithful onyx one -- by Saturday. Ditto a new pair of onyx earrings. (Yes, given a choice between onyx and diamonds, I'd take the onyx!) Everything I wanted is in stock and Fire Mountain Gems is really good about filling orders promptly. And I selected "Priority Mail" so I am good. The other things I ordered will take a little longer but those things are coming from outside the country so I expect them to take a little longer.    And I've done my Goddess card draw today and well... all is good there too.

Hi! It's been a busy morning, early afternoon and promises to be a busy evening. Skywise has the superlate shift so expect me to be in and out into the early morning hours of Wednesday!  Since I still have a lot to do I'm going to be trading off with MoonCat on the computer -- Thank The GODS for tabs!! -- so I'll be checking in but not here constantly during afternoon..

I'm going through the original Castle posts and it is amazing how many participants in that thread have been banned from the Castle's original home.    I'm going to dump everything that is "real life" and can't be "tweaked" into the story. That will give me a lot of empty post numbers for new story and give me a leg up on the novelization. Yes, I'm still gonna do that. So brace yourselves. PENTHESILEA'S CASTLE: HOMECOMING is going to happen! It is just going to take a while longer than we'd planned. (Maybe if I can learn to go completely without sleep.....)

I've been busy and I've had a productive day. I've gotten all the real life stuff deleted from the section I'm working on. The Darklord's rescue of the Keyholder from a fate worse than anything that she had already been through -- which considering what she endured to get to that point is saying something! -- is proceeding nicely. So yeah, I'm a happy little writer person. If things keep going this well, I could have the next section ready to go by this time next week.

Observation: As soon as you start saying "always" or "never" some Trickster or Chaos Deity makes it Their personal mission in life to make a liar out of you. Mind, this never happens when you say "I'll never win the lottery!" but when you say, "I'll never do THAT again!", "I'm always right!" or "I wouldn't go out with him if you paid me!" the wheels are immediately set in motion so that sooner or later, you WILL do that again or you WILL go out with that person or whatever it was that you swore up and down that you would never do or always be.
Makes a body careful about what they say and how they say it, wouldn't you say?    

We're back. We have been for a while but Amazon sent me an alert about some recommended books -- they know me SOOOOO well.  -- so I indulged myself a bit.  *giggle* Just what I need, more books to read!! Two of them won't ship until September 2nd so I'll have them just in time for our main vacation. The other two should be here next week and I can't wait to dig into them!
I was reading a book on relationships and astrology (among other things) last night and ran across this list that I found interesting. It is a list of indicators that your relationship is NOT a soul mate connection. The book is "Soul Mates & Hot Dates" by Maria Shaw and published by Llewellyn Worldwide.

1.     You don't want to be apart for a second.

2.     You think about this person constantly and are anxious until you see them again.

3.     You are worried about being dumped.

4.     You are jealous of all their other relationships, past and present.

5.     You get butterflies in your stomach whenever you think about them.

6.     You anxiously wait for their calls, IMs, emails, etc...

7.     You can't wait to have sex!

8.     You are so consumed by the relationship that you neglect other parts of your life like your job, your family and your friends to the point that they suffer from the neglect.

9.     You worry if it is going to last.

10.    You push for deeper commitment.

11.    You feel the need to rush into the relationship and fall "head over heels" in love.

12.    If you have to ask, this person is probably not a soul mate.

13.    You feel the need to lie and/or manipulate to get your way.

Personally, I would think that these conditions would be indicative of -- to put it delicately -- a call to reproduce the species rather than a lasting relationship. Especially the last one. Lies and manipulation have no place in a healthy relationship of any sort.

Oooh... are you going to share what you picked out!? I love Amazon... and have to avoid it because I wind up with a bunch of new books every time I go on there.  (Their CD prices are pretty good too...)

I'm inclined to disagree with some of those as being indicators that a relationship definitely is not that of soul mates...as most of those things are present in ANY new relationship... (well, hopefully except for the lying, manipulating, worry, jealousy and neglect parts....).

And, just for the clincher, I'm going to throw in here that I don't necessarily believe in soul mates.... I just thought I'd put in my .02.  Sounds like you may have an interesting book on your hands though.
