Someone who believes that they are the top of the food chain. Someone who deserves what I will do to them." Carefully, she stands up. "I'll wait for you in my room. Use the private entrance in the back."

	"And they will never know what happened to this sorry specimen." Penth passes the vial under his nose. The man gasps and comes awake to see Penth standing in front of him. He takes in the face, the figure and the fall of brilliant red hair and begins to smile. That is when Penth smiles back and he sees her fangs. He begins to struggle but PD has him. He's a bit tall for Penth to reach his neck so PD forces him to his knees. With gentle fingers, Penth opens his shirt collar and lets her fingers slip into his shirt, just a bit. "You know, you really shouldn't have beaten your sister." With that, Penth seized his hair, pulled his head to one side and buried her fangs into his neck. His cry of pain went unheeded as did his whimpers which quickly lapsed into silence....

	I deserve that. Our position here has been very precarious. I've been spending every moment trying to keep us and our people safe. It hasn't been easy. And I'm really not used to the fact that a healthy diet for me now includes fresh human blood.

	And we have to be careful. While I have no doubt that our Sire is out in some unclaimed terrritory building his own House, we are not a part of it and while he may someday want you to join him, I doubt that he will want me. So for the foreseeable future, we are Houseless and without allies of any sort. If someone decides to squash us, there is nothing to stop them. That is why I've been playing "politics" so much with the local Houses. I don't want to ally us with a particular House but I want most of them to be kindly disposed to us.
