	Penth did not reply. She was in the presence of the most powerful -- and most ruthless -- vampires in the territory and they commanded her complete attention. Wordlessly, a dangeroulsy sensual woman slid a DVD disk into a player and the screen leaped to life. The picture quality was poor and the action jumpy but Penth had no problem recognizing herself, PD and Sassy during their little adventure in the industrial park. The last shot was of them blasting out of there on the bikes. Penth forced herself to calm as the DVD ended and the eyes of every vampire in the room were on her. "There are no other copies of this disk and the only ones who know of its existence are in this room," the chairman of the meeting said. "Would you care to explain?" Penth found the calm in herself, began at the beginning and told all, leaving out only the part about her sister posing as a man in order to fight with the guys in the MMA tournament.

	Penth reached the end of her recitation and took a second to respond to her sister and to administer the promised swat! *Yes, we looked cool but until I know how they are going to take our acting without getting anyone's permission, I'm not going to mention that!* "Lady?" Penth gave her attention to the chairman. "The antidote you obtained, is there any left." "Yes," Penth replied, "over 300 ccs of it. More than enough to analyze. We also have some documentation that might be useful. Dealing with my sister's injury has left me little time to read everything we took from them so I can't say with certainty what we have."

	I daresay an inventory list and the formula for that painkiller would be sufficient. They got a pretty clear shot of you mixing it so they might be able to figure it out without your help. Volunteering your help could go a long way toward increasing our longevity.

	*Well, figuring it out should keep you out of too much trouble for a day or two.* The Council stopped muttering among themselves and the chairman speared Penth with a steely gaze. "My Lady, thank you for your explanation. That will be all for now." Penth inclined her head in acknowledgment of the dismissal and followed the Council servant who led her out of the room, only remembering to breathe once the doors closed behind her.

	Well, it will still be helpful to be able to tell him exactly what it is you want. For all we know, that particular compound might have been developed by the transgenetic project for their own use.

	Not long after Penth had left the gathering, the meeting of the Vampires' Council broke up and the members and their entourages left. Penth noticed several of the Heads of House regarding her intensely as they left and she found that a bit disturbing. Besides PD, there were nearly a hundred people that she was responsible for -- the staff of the NightClub, their families and the minions. She was pretty sure that the minions didn't consider themselves her responsibility but she did whether they liked it or not. Taking care of people was what she did. She was the personification of "mother hen". Maybe that was why she was so good at running a club.
