	I realized very, VERY late last night that Thanksgiving has snuck up on me! Fortunately, we already have the turkey. Unfortunately, that sucker is still frozen and it has to be thawed enough to get that dratted gravy packet out before it can be put in the brine soak where, ideally, it should sit for a week. It's gonna be Saturday -- most likely -- before I can start steeping the bird. It will be roasted on Wednesday. Yeah, I'm not traditional in my turkey cooking and serving style. It will be sliced and reheated just before we eat and yeah, I get very good results with this system. Thank the merciful Gods that Skywise gets paid tonight and tomorrow is our regular shopping day so I can go through the pantry and add the "extras" to my regular list. Oh, and Spirit's birthday is a week from tomorrow. That means in addition to the pies for Thanksgiving, I'll be making a birthday cake for Friday too.....

	Okay, I'm gonna take my bad temper out on the "bad guys" in the Monster Hunt. How much property damage results is still up in the air but I'm gonna KILL characters.. Yeah, with over 29 years with the Post Office, Skywise should NOT work a holiday unless he volunteers to!

	The gravy packet is out of the turkey, the turkey is in the brine solution and the bucket containing it is in the Guest House refrigerator. There it will sit until Tuesday when it will go into the oven. After I've made the pies.. I won't get much else done on Tuesday...

	Skywise is home. He's just plopped his copies of E. A. Wallis Budge's Egyptian Religion and The Book of the Dead on the chair next to me. [I have removed them so the Lord of Samhain can curl up in the chair! LOL ] The Maat Goddess card has started showing up again and he was showing me the "42 Negative Confessions". hehehehe Yeah, I know. We're evil. And soooooo well matched! 	Skywise has been researching redheads online. He started by finding out what percentage of the female population is redheaded. And what portion is left handed and then what percentage of it is both redheaded and left handed. He hasn't gotten so far as to figure out how many of the aforementioned redheaded lefties are also Scorpios but I would imagine that he will. I'm seeing a pattern here....

	You won't be seeing me much this coming week. We have Thanksgiving and Spirit's birthday this week and Skywise announced this morning that we will be getting the new computer in a couple of weeks. The first update of Leopard was released last Thursday so I GOTTA GET THAT DESK BUILT!!! So, I'll be around, just not as much for a while!!

	I'm taking a short break from desk building. I need to do dishes, laundry and make dinner tonight in addition to working on the desk. With any luck, I'll have the desk ready for staining and finishing by next week. And once it is assembled in the basement, we will be getting the new comp and getting the home network set up. [Yes, beloved. We gotta network these puppies and you know it!] That should cut down on lines for computer use! hehehe

	Well, the dishwasher is full of clean dishes, the washer is full of clothes that are getting clean and I'll start dinner in about an hour or so. I've gotten the rails for the desk roughed in [I've made "tabs" on each end of the rails.] and I'll drill the holes for the pegs and start rounding the tabs with a wood rasp tomorrow. Wednesday and Thursday I'm not expecting to get anything done on the desk so anything I do get done is gravy. After the rails are done, I'll cut and finish out the slots on the sides and support pieces of the desk and cut the pegs. Once everything has been assembled and checked for fit, I can start staining and finishing. If everything goes well, I should have it done and ready for a computer by a week from this coming Friday.

	It's been a busy day and it's gonna be a busy night. Skywise has the late shift tonight and tomorrow and I'm going to be rearranging my cooking schedule a bit so I can sleep in on Thursday morning! Once the cooking is under control, I'm looking forward to a lazy Thanksgiving Day.

	Well, I've got the "peg holes" on the rails marked. Once I get them drilled, I'll be taking a wood rasp to them to "round them off." Once they are all pretty much rounded, I'll start working on the sides and the supports... Trust me, when I have pictures all will be made clear.
