	ominous voice It has begun! The "feast cooking" that is. Or it will be starting in about 2 and a half to three hours. Skywise has the late shift so I'll be up until 3 a.m or thereabouts. I'm going to roast the bird tonight and make the fillings for the pies (apple and pumpkin) so all that I'll have to do is make the crusts, fill them and pop them in the oven. I was going to make the noodles today and dry them to cook tomorrow but Skywise and I got .. ahem... busy and I didn't get that done. He has tomorrow off so I won't have to have the meal ready super early so it isn't a real problem. Although if he wants to get "busy" tomorrow -- before dinner -- I may have to put my foot down!! Everything else I'm going to make will take about an hour or so to make so things are looking good "feast wise." Then after dinner, I'll bake Spirit's birthday cake!!

	I've been doing research for the dream house that has my mind wandering off into "the Gutter." Fortunately, I've very at home there and the furnishings are exquisite! And the service.... So right now, I'm wondering if it is both possible and practical to have a swimming pool with waterfall in one's bedroom.... Might not be either one but sure is fun and naughty to think about!

	I'm back! The turkey is done and safely stowed in the refrigerator. Unfortunately, the pie filling isn't made. I realized -- before I started thankfully! -- that the only way that there would be room for two containers of pie filling and the turkey would be if I undertook a major, MAJOR excavation of the refrigerator. Upon sober reflection, I decided that there was no way in hell I was going to start that job tonight if I didn't have to! And I don't have to tonight! So, I worked on the Command Center desk -- made good progress too, I might add! -- instead. Two or three more hours work on the rails -- if I work slowly -- and they will be done except for the final fitting. I'm going to need Skywise's help with the next part and he should be available to help on Saturday, Sunday at the latest. I should have the stain applied by this time next week. Yep. Things are going well.....

	If I keep going through my "Recommendations" list on Amazon.com, they will eventually have a record of every occult/metaphysical/paranormal book I own and will stop recommending books I already have. It would be much simpler if I could just download my library list to them but there is no option for that, so we'll do it the hard way!

	The apple pie is out of the oven and the pumpkin pie is in. Aside from making sure the pie doesn't burn, I'm free of cooking chores until about 2 hours before we eat. Of course, I should -- and will -- do a load or two of laundry today...

	Leftovers are put away. Cake is made. Birthday post will go up considerably after dawn and the rails are as finished they can be until I have the slots that they go into cut. That is phase two which should get underway on Friday. In the meantime, everyone sleep well and be safe.

	I've been prowling "ascension" sites today. Of particular interest is one that is insisting that Jupiter will ignite into a second sun before it passes behind the sun around December 23rd this year. This information is coming from a channeled source with an impressive name I'm not going to bother looking up at the moment. This person is supposedly representing a vast Galactic civilization that is going to swoop in and "fix" everything on Earth once Jupiter ignites. Now, I have no doubt that a sufficiently advanced technological culture could figure out how to add enough mass to Jupiter to cause it to ignite so that isn't my problem. It's the overall tone of the site, and others like it, that is making me chuckle. I guess it is their "we have been chosen to lead the way for all you peons. We're unique and special and you poor unenlightened souls -- those of you that actually have souls since most of you are soulless, cloned worker drones -- that comprise the mass of humanity are lucky to have us here to save your bacon." attitude that amuses me. Of course, you can find this elitist attitude fairly easily. Some people's need to feel important will prompt them to say all sorts of outrageous things -- especially about their spiritual/soul development -- and that causes all sorts of hilarity behind their backs. Equal parts pathetic and humorous. Anyway, what I'm waiting for is the explanation they will put out when Jupiter passes behind the sun as a plain ole gas giant rather than a new sun. What they will say while it is transiting behind the sun and what will happen when it emerges from behind the sun as -- still! -- a gas giant as is most likely, is a matter of great interest and anticipation too. Watching them squirm through the winter should be an interesting exercise.

	I debated which was easier, hauling all the stuff I'm likely to need to work on the next step on the desk up to the Guest House or haul the two 24" x 36" wooden panels down here and work on them here. I decided to haul the panels down here. That way Skywise and I can confer over them if needed. If we don't have time to cut them to size tomorrow before he leaves for work, I can drill out the slots instead and have that much done by Sunday.

	OMM: Dinner -- which will be delicious leftovers. And the computer desk which is shaping up nicely. And the computer which we will be getting as soon as Skywise is sure that the updated Leopard is shipping with the new machines. And the specter of getting ready for Yule/Christmas is beginning to impinge upon my consciousness. And, of course, somewhere along the line, I gotta finish the Monster Hunt..... Life is good.....

	We've been busy with non-internet stuff today, hence my absence from these hallowed halls! Christmas Day is 30 days from today and for us that means that the busiest time of the year has arrived. 	We had a lazy morning. Skywise let me sleep in while he went online. hehehehe I got to snooze and he got uninterrupted web-time since the girls were asleep too. Then he came back to bed and stayed until noon.... Going to try to get back in the "writing groove" today. Sarasvati hasn't shown up in my Goddess card draws recently but I know She will if I don't get off of my metaphorical butt and get writing!! There is nothing like having a "creative writing" Goddess standing behind you tapping Her foot! I'm sure that She knows what else has been going on around here and has been cutting me some slack on the writing front but I can't expect that to go on forever. So! Back to the writing trenches! [Actually, they are sinkholes and bomb craters rather than trenches but you get the idea! ]
