	Observation: Some people are so damned touchy it is a miracle that anyone will associate with them, even online. "Artistic temperament" is no excuse -- especially if your "talent" is questionable.

	Massive jawcracking yawn! The freezing rain has stopped -- a little of that foolishness goes a long way! -- and it has been snowing for the last two to three hours. Skywise says that we have about 3/16th of an inch of ice on everything -- and the county truck just went by, heading north. YES!! -- and the snow is coming down on top of it. Lovely. But it could be worse so we won't complain. The power is obviously still on. Since things are stable weatherwise, we are going to crash for the night. Everyone sleep well and be safe.

	wave! Afternoon! Everything is fine here. We lucked out and only got about 3 inches of snow and, so far, no drifting to speak of. The power didn't go out and unless some nincompoop slides into a power pole or we get more freezing rain, I'm not expecting it to. Moonie had the computer this morning -- not being a worried parent type person, she went to bed at a reasonable hour and got up early! -- and I'm only here until Skywise is ready to tackle more computer setup tasks. We were able to go into town and he picked up some stuff to make setting up the second iMac faster and easier. Once he's ready to start that, he'll chase me off the computer for the Gods know how long! So if you don't see me around that is probably why. I'm hoping [fingers crossed] that we will have the second computer set up and online in a day or so. Everyone be safe and I'll pop in a post whenever I can!

	Skywise is back in the house and has gone downstairs. I'm hearing "computer unpacking" sounds from down there so I think I'm about to be chased off! Spirit has my "Cookie Cook Book" and I think that is a not so subtle hint that I need to get started on the holiday baking in the next day or so! hehehehe "Time to make the flour fly!" But probably not today!

	Sanctuary Control here. We are operational.. I'm coming to you from my peaceful and quiet -- abet chilly -- basement. It's gonna take me a while to memorize the protocol for getting online but we now have two computers online which should cut down on disputes! LOL I'm now going to go start building my bookmark list on this computer....

	I didn't get a chance to start putting the Monster Hunt up this weekend. Between the storm and getting the computers set up there wasn't time but I'll be getting to it this week. Promise. Then I'll go back to editing/rewriting and fingers crossed I hope to have it all up by the end of January. I'll just plus my memory stick into whatever computer is available and start editing! hehehe Anyway, I didn't want you to think that I'd forgotten. I haven't. Things just got hectic as all heck the last couple of days.

	Afternoon all! Things are preceding well today. I have ingested enough tea to get my heart started and my brain booted up and consequently, I am reasonably coherent! I've already figured out that running up and down the stairs is gonna do wonders for my legs! Who needs a Stair master when your Sanctum is below decks and your kids are topside? Not to mention all of the chores that need to be done topside...dishes, laundry, dinner...

	Well, we've been zipping up and down the stairs this afternoon getting IRCle installed and working correctly. I think there may be a thing or two to do with the install on this machine -- the one in the Sanctum -- but I'm pretty sure that the one topside is good to go. We'll see the next time I need to fire up the chat. LOL Skywise has left for work -- late shift -- so I'm gonna make another pitcher of tea 'cause I'm gonna be up for a while... lol

	Hmmmmmm dust is already begining to settle on the keyboard. Fortunately, the dust cover for the keyboard is done. It needs embellishment, of course, but it'll keep the dust off decorated or not! The dustcover for the computer will need to be lined so tomorrow I'll be getting polar or sweatshirt fleece. I hope I can find some in black -- makes washing simpler -- or blood red. I like blood red.......

	I've been back on the Castle's original home, digging for a piece of information and I'm reminded of the fun we were all having this time of year back in 2005. May the Gods grant that those days return.... And after enduring much eyestrain, I have said information and I'm doing what I can to make everything make sense in the rewrites! Thank the Gods that I'll have a second chance to get it straight when I write Book Two!

	Okay... Packages are mailed. Skywise's main gift is purchased. Sanctum computer set up to get the email.. Now all I have to worry about is: When/if I need to produce 3 apple pies for the Post Office Holiday party -- Skywise will let me know about that. Getting that dratted tree whipped into shape -- don't ask... Getting the last few odds and ends transferred from the eMac to the iMacs Get the eMac and the scanner/printer into Moonie's room and her Performa -- yes, we know it is a Museum piece but it still works! -- out. Getting everything wrapped and under the aforementioned tree Mail the last few holiday cards And, last but not least, getting the bills that are due at the end of the week into today's mail. I figure that once I get through Friday, I'll be cruising. Nothing to do but cook. sigh I'm gonna go hunt up the checkbooks and pay some bills. Be back later...

	Bills -- at least the ones due this week -- are paid. I vegged after Skywise left. I needed the break before diving back into everything. Like I posted elsewhere, things will ease up after Friday/Saturday at the Post Office and once his shift is over on Christmas Eve, we can collapse. Dinner on Christmas Day is courtesy of the crockpot and I already have the roast in the freezer. All I'll need for the dinner are the rolls and veggies.

	Things are progressing well. The eMac is now installed in Moonie's room so that is "checked off" the list. The first of three pies boiled over, so everything came to a halt while I got the oven cleaned. sigh I'm using foil pans that are smaller than the glass ones I normally use -- that way Skywise doesn't have to bring them home -- so I baked a "practice pie". hehehe The family doesn't mind. The next batch won't be filled as full. I'll save the extra filling. I'm getting ideas concerning filo dough.... hehehehe In other news, Skywise installed my ultimate favorite word processing program on the iMacs so I don't have to use Apple's new one which is proving to be a course in aggravation! So, I'm a happy little writer person.... Well, *back to the kitchen!*

So two it is and they're done. Besides, why should I hog all the tasty dessert making action? Let some of the other employees make some "sweet-sticky stuff!" The tree has been whipped into shape. All that it needs now is the ornaments and we will put them on at the last minute. We have learned that the feline members of the household simply CANNOT resist shiny, pretty dangly ornaments on the tree. As I type, the War Queen is asleep underneath it. It is also for that reason that the presents won't be put out until almost the last minute. Kitty claws are murder on wrapping paper....

	Another busy, busy day! The girls wanted to go to the Children's Museum so we did a quick run into the city. On the way back, we stopped at Office Max and picked up a desk chair for the Command Center which I'm currently sitting in. Very comfy! And upholstered in black and dark gray -- very classy looking -- and it will go so well with the desk when it is stained. I am now ready to take over the world.... Sorry! "Pinkie and The Brain" moment there.... Really. That's all it was! Cross my heart....

	The Lord of Samhain is inspecting things -- walking around on the desk and playing with the mouse -- and he is making it very difficult to get any work done. He's just discovered the "dueling smileys" on the reply window and he's very interested in getting to them. He keeps looking behind the screen. hehehehe He hasn't noticed the moving type yet.... He's started keeping me company down here. sniff Sassy used to come down here with me when she was alive. The basement was "our place" since the War Queen is the undisputed ruler of the bed. His Little Lordship has taken to sleeping in the armchair that she and I used to cuddle in. I hope she knows he's keeping me company and approves of him.
