	I'm looking outside and remembering the Blizzard of '78. (What a difference 30 years can make! ) Mom and I were snowed in -- with the dog -- in the Guest House which was the only house at that time. The power did stay on and we roasted hot dogs in the fireplace for the fun of it. While waiting for my carpool to deliver me to the grocery store parking lot that was my dropoff point, Mom hit the store and loaded the back of our Pinto with supplies so the only worry we had was navigating the four miles of almost closed country roads to get home. We made it -- the nephew of Mom's business partner gave us an escort with the business van -- but that road closed up like a zipper right behind us. No blizzard since has equaled that one. 	Here is another link about the Blizzard of '78, this time from the Indianapolis Star. For those of you without an Indiana map at hand, the people in the story were heading north where the storm was much worse although Fishers isn't that far north of Indianapolis. http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080126/LOCAL/801260461 The Blizzard is also why Skywise never leaves for work without some emergency gear in the car when heavy snow or ice is in the weather forecast.

	thud The weather forecast is calling for temps in the mid-50s on Monday and accumulating snow (a couple of inches, looks like so far.) by Wednesday. Indiana weather does teach you to stay alert....

	I've been working on writing the intro to one of the replacement characters while trying to leave my original posts pretty much alone. sigh And the wind is picking up which I don't like. Gusty winds, particularly at night, put me on edge. Too many severe thunderstorms with tornado warnings in my past. It is hard to enjoy a thunderstorm when you don't know if your house will still be there when it is over. Fortunately, there are no storms at present. In a couple of months though, that will change.

	LOL I've been googling for a "kitchen clone" recipe for Archway Date filled Oatmeal cookies. I was going through the search results and what did I find? hehehehe A link to this thread! It seems I had mentioned eating said cookies in an earlier post. hehehehehehehe I'm finding a lot of cookie recipes but no clones.

	Well, dinner is done and eaten. I've been smoothing out the "rough edges" on this section of the Castle so I got something accomplished on that tonight. The rain has moved out -- according to the radar -- but the wind is still blowing and it's putting me on edge so I'm going to head out and curl up with a book for a while before Skywise gets home. Everyone sleep well and be safe, especially if you are living in one of the areas where winter has a good grip! And NO, I haven't forgotten Nike's birthday. I'll put the post up tomorrow when I can give it proper attention!

	We're back! Mission Successful! Skywise is installing the new software on the Command Center comp as I type! Once everything is squared away I should be able to use all the "Windows only" astrology software that I've acquired.

	Okay, that was interesting. I went upstairs and heard the wind howling -- something I couldn't hear in the basement -- and the weatherman was saying "tornado warning." Then the lights started to flicker. Fortunately, the tornado warning was for an area far enough north of us not to be a concern. Moonie shut off the Research Station comp while I dashed downstairs to do the same with the Command Center. The CC might be offline for the night. The way our network is set up the Research Station, which is the one connected to the internet, has to be "on" for the network to work and if it is completely shut off -- rather than "sleep mode" -- the network will have to be reset. At least, that was the way it was when Skywise set it up. And while he showed me how to do that, I've slept since then, as my mom would say. So, he will have to reset the network when he gets home tonight -- he has the late shift -- or tomorrow. And yes, he WILL write the reset instructions down so even Moonie can do it if she needs to! The squall line has passed us, the wind is still howling and the temp is dropping. There are reports of damage in town and the power is out in town but it doesn't sound too bad and no reports of injuries. It was 55 in town earlier but the temp isn't updating and I know that it isn't that warm now.

	Yes!! The Command Center is online! Skywise must have found a way around the previous problem! The western two thirds of the state, including us, is in the clear as far as severe weather is concerned. Thank the Gods!! Now if I can just keep the Lord of Samhain from walking on the keyboard while I'm typing...

	According to the "Dashboard" the temp is 47 degrees but the temp in Indianapolis, according to the Channel 6 website, is 19 degrees. I guess that the reporting station in town is still wonky. Expected low tonight: 10 - 12 degrees.... What a difference 12 hours can make. Or even 4.....

	Rewriting a section that was half RPG/halfRL. I might just ditch the post numbers altogether and "do it" in the book. sigh I'm gonna go topside and watch the news. They should have a fairly decent estimate of local damage by now. I hope that none of the roads out here are blocked by downed trees. I don't think that he has the bucksaw in the trunk of the car....
