Observation:
It is too bad that the enormous amounts of hot air being generated right now can't be used for something useful like snow removal. Especially since the words accompanying said hot air amount to nothing but self-important "organic fertilizer." Whoever invented "political campaigns" should be dug up, reanimated and then shot, dismembered and then cremated. Of course, not all or even most, of the hot air is coming from the politicians.....

He says the highway is okay. The backroads -- where we live -- are pure hell. In any event, he's mine until he leaves tomorrow and I'm gonna take full advantage of that!

One nice thing about dial up and long download times, it gives me lots of odd moments to crochet. This baby afghan should be done in a couple of days at this rate. The second one may take a bit longer since it is a pattern I haven't done before. I have something else in mind too if it doesn't take too long.....

Skywise should be home in about 30 minutes -- the weather is behaving for a change! -- so I'm going to head out and get a couple of things done. I've managed to make some headway on the Castle so I'm a fairly happy writer person and Sarasvati shouldn't be too displeased with me!

Ahhhh.... cognitive functions are coming online! It's amazing what a solid hit of caffeine and breakfast can do for you. And I DIDN'T want to wait to eat and end up having a cheeseburger for breakfast this morning -- which I have done more often than I can remember! One of the few drawbacks of being nocturnal -- most places stop serving breakfast before we get up most days!

Moonie reports that the Lord of Samhain has chased the War Queen up a tree. It has been so long since they've been able to play outside, she probably doesn't mind.
Skywise is downstairs doing arcane things to the computer and muttering. It has something to do with the network I think or the fact that the built in iChat system is wonky. He'll tell me what it is when he's got it figured out!

Well, I just checked the radar and there is a “Wall of Wet” headed this way. Fortunately, all the kitty persons have come inside and are in no danger of getting their little furry selves wet! The radar returns are all shades of green so it shouldn’t be too bad although with this wind, it could be horizontal.....
I'm glad we are on the warm side of this thing!

I've been a good wife and mommie today and let everyone else use the computers! Now it is MY turn! I have a handle on the Lord Marshall's problems so I'm going to dive into the writing and see where that goes.
The weather has changed again. Yesterday's high was 61 degrees. Today it is snowing.... At least the weather waited until it was cold before it started precipitating again! I've had quite enough of that "freezing rain" foolishness and I'm sure that everyone else has to!
