I've seen this one in the stores. It isn't to my taste but if someone has it and wants to write a review -- or just give us an idea what it is like to use it -- go ahead. And if anyone else has a favorite deck they would like to comment on, feel free.

I don't know that one. I'm leery of anything to do with the Necronomicon though.

But, to contribute something, my favorite decks are:

Osho Zen Tarot

LS Gothic Vampire Tarot

Osho Zen has beautiful artwork, and is a good meditation deck. It was my first, and it's definitely one I recommend to anyone and everyone.  I haven't met very many people who didn't like the deck.

LS Gothic Vampire deck has slightly horrible artwork (anyone that likes it... I'm sorry.  I just don't really find it aesthetically pleasing), but it has a really good vibe for me, and has quickly outstripped my Osho Zen deck in recent usage. It's a more traditional deck, with the same general principles as the Rider-Waite, with a few variations unique to the deck and the authors interpretation.

I don't own the Necronomicon deck, but I've heard from others who do that it is mostly an art / collectible kind of deck.  I do love Anne Stokes' artwork, though.

I am currently looking forward to the Wizards Tarot, The Gaian Tarot (finally!) and the re-release of the WildWood Tarot.  All can be found on the pre orders page at Tarot Garden. Smiley

So funny that I come back to this and the three decks I mentioned are the ones that I'm still waiting for.  Hopefully Santa has checked my amazon wish list.  Cheesy

Also in need of a replacement copy of the Fairy Tale by Lisa Hunt, as someone spilled something on mine and the cards got all stuck together. Sad

I got a new deck in the mail today. The Steampunk Tarot published by Llewellyn. I started feeling a little "tug" toward the tarot a while ago and this deck caught my eye. Life being what it is I haven't had a chance to examine it thoroughly but what I've seen I like.

Unhappy. My new deck is missing a card. Now I have to contact Llewellyn and see if I can get the missing card or will I have to buy a whole new deck.

Iz happy. Llewellyn is going to send me the missing card. No charge. Say what you will about Llewellyn but right now I'm very happy with their customer service.
Last night I asked a question (yes or no) and pulled one card from my new deck. The card was the Sun Smiley so I'm happy about THAT today too.

The missing card arrived today and I spent some time with the book that comes with the deck. IZ HAPPY! This author doesn't use "reversals" and I'm going to try her system and see how it goes. In any event, I love the art and the images are quite intriguing...
The set doesn't have a separate box to keep the cards in, just the box for the set, so I'll be getting out my black cardstock, scissors. glue and bone folder soon to make a slipcase for the deck.
