	Skywise and I were thinking about Maggie today. It's comfortable in the house right now but she would be cold -- she had never really recovered from nearly starving and she had no body fat -- and we would have the big space heater that looks like a radiator set up in the living room and she would be curled up asleep next to it, just as close as she could get. It is warm in the arms of Bast....

	On this day, two years ago, we found a sick, bedraggled little calico cat by the side of the road. We didn't think she would live through the night but she did and we came to love her very much during the too short time that she was with us. Bast bless and keep you, Maggie. We miss you on this, the day we found you.

	It's been a year, MaggiePie. I still catch myself wondering where you are napping. I still catch myself thinking that I need to get out the space heater when the weather turns chilly 'cause you will be cold. I still miss you but I know that where you are, you are healthy and happy and safe and always warm. Have fun, little chipmunk chaser, until we see you again. We're all looking forward to it.

	Lately, out of the corner of my eye, I have seen a flash of calico only to look directly and see nothing. I remember how you would jump into my lap while I was writing, wanting to be cuddled. We would and when you'd had enough, you would get up and hop down, to disappear into one of the secret places that you'd found in our house. We didn't have you long enough, little girl, not nearly long enough. Miss you, Maggiepie, little chipmunk chaser. Be warm and safe in the arms of Bast.
