	Moonie just showed me a sketch she's done of the critter I'm currently writing about in the Castle. I told her "more teeth." LOL We get some cooperation from the Gods, I'll be posting her artwork to illustrate a "Bestiary" thread in the Codex and I'll likely stick it in appropriate Castle repost thread too.

	We met the above mentioned "red radar blob" in town. We had some errands so we did them all while the storm raged. Fortunately, we got into Wal-Mart before it really cut loose and took the opportunity to buy two new umbrellas! They may be sold out of those before the day is out. hehehe I got another pattern to make up for the DarkPrincess ( I'm going to see what is available in a black print of some sort.) and a couple of other odds and ends so, aside from wishing that the darn storms would let up for a bit, I am a happy camper.

	sigh I just went out to get the mail and managed to get mud all over the bottoms of my pant legs. Said jeans are now in the dirty clothes hamper and I'm sitting here in my unmentionables 'cause Skywise is asleep in our room and I don't want to wake him by rummaging around in the closet for another pair of jeans.... On the plus side, another book on polyamory came. muwahahahahaha!

	Skywise is on his way to work, it is raining -- gently for a change! -- and I'm decently clad. Or indecently if you prefer since this particular pair of jeans look like they are painted on! I'm going to try to settle in and get some Castlework done. I'm currently trying to decide if the monsters should attack singly or in a group. Oh, didn't I mention it? There is more than one monster now....

	It would be easier to concentrate on my work if I didn't have to keep turning off the computer when a lightning filled thunderstorm moves through! snark! At least the Tornado Watch will expire at 7 and HOPEFULLY glares skyward! this foolishness will be OVER for the night.

	Okay.. Monsters attacking. Chaos -- in the form of a cattle stampede -- ensuing. Heroes incoming. Now I need to write the battle scene with the appropriate sense of chaos. This would be easier to do as a video. Quick cuts and jumbled scenes with lots of screams and other noise would convey what I'm trying for nicely. Guess I'm too visual....

	The National Weather Service has confirmed that a F-0 tornado went through the northern part of this county and caused the damage there. The Tornado Watch has expired but more "lovely" weather is developing to the west. sigh Skywise remarked this morning about how the weather has become much more violent in the past few years. Not just the wind/lightning/hail/tornado part of it but the incredibly heavy downpours that go on for hours. I didn't disagree with him.

	It's been hairy. A thunderstorm that turned into a meso-cyclone passed over us about 30 minutes ago. There is a confirmed report of a tornado out of that storm heading for Camp Atterbury. Damage reports are starting to come in. The most compelling reason why I want to live underground. I told the girls to head for the basement. Spirit didn't want to go. There wasn't time to reason with her. Or be gentle. The Tornado Watch goes until 3 a.m.

	Things have settled down in this half of the state. All the activity now is north of Indianapolis. We weren't so lucky this time. People are injured but it isn't confirmed how bad they are. The hardest hit area seems to be around a little town called Moscow. There are people unaccounted for because there are so many trees down, no one has been able to get to their farms to check on them. The phone lines are down and, like as not, there is no cell phone coverage there. The weather guys say it will be another 24 hours more or less before this stationary front moves out. It's gonna be a long week.

	Morning. We made it through the rest of the night although I woke up every time a storm came through. Things are quiet now but I don't know how long that will last. 	Oh lovely. The storms are starting to fire up. There's a big ole patch of yellow/orange/red southwest of us and unless it moves straight east, it's gonna clip us. At least we were able to get a few things done before the storms started. Here's hoping that it isn't as bad as it was yesterday.

	It's gone past us. We got a LOT of rain -- again -- and some pretty good wind but that's all. The path up to the Guest House is LITERALLY a running stream that runs from there down the hill past this house and on down to the creek which looks like a river at the moment. Every low spot is a hidden pond and not likely to be otherwise until next week. Sidebar: we just heard a very long, loud rumble that sounded like thunder but went on and on. Don't know what it was. For a few seconds, I thought that it might be an earthquake which is JUST what we need! Anyway, all the yellow/orange/red is to the east of us now so I can relax marginally for a while.

	I'm back. We had a loss of phone service there for a while. Since the nearest weather reporting station has recorded 4.03 inches of rain in the last 24 hours, it's likely that water got somewhere it wasn't supposed to be. Anyway, the dial tone is back and so am I. It's still being a bit wonky so if I'm not around, that's why.

	sigh It is taking 40 minutes to an hour to load a page tonight and I can't even begin to get into PMs. I attribute that to the damage the phone systems in this part of the state have taken in the last few days and the increased traffic load as people call friends and relatives to check in. I'm going to head out. I have NO idea how long this is going to take to load. Hopefully, things will start to get back to normal in a few days. If I don't seem to be around and you haven't heard about any more nasty weather in this part of the world, don't worry. It is likely just trouble with the phone lines. 	Morning. Skywise has been online this morning and he says that he hasn't had any problem so here I am! When he got home, he told me that a number of the houses in the neighborhood were without power -- their security lights weren't on -- so I'm thinking that the phone lines might have been damaged too. We'll see how it goes. Right now, breakfast and tea....

	The phone line continues to be wonky so my internet connection has been cutting out unexpectedly. ggggrrrrrr That does NOT help with my "extremely 'on edge' feeling" that I've been battling since yesterday. I don't know if it is the nasty weather that's causing it or something more metaphysical but I'm edgy as hell today. [Yeah, I've already warned the kids. ] Hermes grant that my internet stays on so I can surf around and maybe relax some.
