	mmmm... remember that big gust of wind I mentioned in my last post? Well, it did more than just scatter small limbs all over the yard. Skywise just found that a largish tree at the edge of the woods in front of the house has split -- almost snapped off in fact -- and is hung up in another tree. I've taken some pictures -- the camera I got Skywise for Yule takes pics in the dark! Woot! -- and I'll take some more in the morning when I can actually see something in the viewfinder! It's gonna have to come the rest of the way down, we just have to figure out how to do it. Oh joy.

	Greetings! I've been here for a while but I keep losing my internet connection. It was wild and unnerving last night. Continuous thunder -- and therefore lightning -- for over an hour. Something probably got hit that compromised the phone lines. I think that things have settled down although I have no intention of betting money I can't afford to lose on that! Today's writing assignment is a toughie: melee combat. I can "see" what's happening in my head. It is the breaking it down and putting it into words that is both hard and time consuming. And just to make life interesting for myself, I have two melee combats going on at the same time and I'm cutting back and forth between them. Yes, I know. I'm a masochist where my writing is concerned!

	Making headway on these melee combats -- slow but sure. It will probably be another couple of days to get it all done. Tomorrow is fully booked, Spirit has an appointment for a reevaluation -- to confirm that she is still eligible to be covered by Skywise's health insurance -- in the evening so it could be late before we make it home. So tomorrow looks like a day off from writing for me. Also, on my mind: Bladeraven. I hope you guys are somewhere safe.

	There is probably still some "tweaking" left to do but the first melee combat I've been working on all day is done. The critter is dead anyway! I'll do what I can on the second one tonight. I've been trying to get some cleaning done today too. It's handy to have something that needs doing when you need to think about what to write next!

	Well, what will be Chapter 3 is shaping up nicely. It should be ready to send to BR by next week at the latest. Lots of naughty stuff in that one. Hope I don't shock BR too badly with it! Then, Chapter 4 with some MORE naughty stuff.. giggle

	Food as been consumed and I'm waiting for the effects of protein consumption to reach my brain! I should have reasonable cognitive function soon. Skywise has had the house opened up this morning. I don't think that it is going to be cool enough to leave the a/c off all day but we will see. checks tea level, hits bottom Need more tea....

	Thinking about: Tweaks for Chapters one and two, finishing chapter three, the second melee in chapter four, the bar fight in chapter four and the contents of a couple of emails that I got this morning. The head isn't going to explode but I think some brain sorting is needed! At least the "minor" tweaks are done, major tweaks will take some thought....

	I didn't get a lot of writing done today. It's knda hard when a cute, adorable babycatperson keeps sitting on the mouse, the keyboard or your arm. I got most of the "tweaks" done, at least. Maybe tomorrow, I can talk Moonie into taking the little hairball outside for a while so I can concentrate on the writing! Payroll messed up Skywise's check -- way too much in it -- so we are going to have to plan for a short check when they make the correction. sigh I'll put the extra in the checking account and it can sit there until we need it.

	We're back from town, supplies are unloaded and mostly put away. Skywise will be heading out in about 45 minutes and then I will settle down to some writing. Here's hoping that little cutiekitten, SunLord will let me get some work done or I might have to do --- ICK!! --- housework! I will be doing dishes and laundry while I'm writing so it isn't like I'm goofing off completely!

	I'll have to go over it again, do a "body count" and check a couple of other things but I'm pretty sure that the second melee is done. The monster is dead anyway! Now all that's left in Chapter 3/4 -- so called since I am not absolutely dead certain where the break between the chapters will end up being -- is that pesky "should oughta be jaw-dropping" bar fight and some character interaction. Tomorrow, we're going to met some friends for lunch and a bit of a visit so I won't be working on it until we get home and I have no idea when that will be. Right now, I wish I already had a laptop. I'd plug in my memory stick and work on the novel on the drive up there. sigh Maybe I'll have an idea for a bit of business that I can jot down anyway. (I always have a steno pad in my purse. ) Okay. Time to start thinking about bar fights and devious little girls hitting on Darklords. [It makes sense in the book. Trust me!] Post # 11,300

	I think I'll flesh out "The Demon's Den" a bit more. It has the potential to be a good adventure/story jumping off point and the nature of its location -- near the river in Crowhaven -- makes it likely to be wilder than the Castle Pub. And it will make a good addition to the "Crowhaven Sourcebook" that I'm going to have to write/advise on at some point. Also on my mind: the very odd feeling that I have fangs. That is the only way to describe it and yeah, it's weird because it has been quite a while since I've had this particular sensation. I wonder what's causing it this time....
