	Skywise surprised me. We went into town and for what I thought was Spirit's Sunday "taco fix" and a snack for the rest of us. Instead of pulling into the Taco Bell, he headed for the Kentucky Fried Chicken place next door! No cooking for me tonight! I was a bad little sorceress. I had two helpings of their apple cobbler.....

	Afternoon. It's been a busy day! Did some running around -- more tomorrow -- and I'm ready for a mini-crash. A couple of writing reference books arrived today, one of a naughty nature and the other more pedestrian. Oh well, can't be naughty all the time! [I don't see why not but "life" does conspire against non-stop "naughty!"] Gonna go get that mini-crash before I have to get started on chores. Later.

	Still thinking about that new character I need. Can't decide on the physical characteristics aside from the fact that she's going to be a twelve year old caucasian. Eyes: blue or green? Hair: Honey blonde, black, or medium reddish brown? And of course, the BIGGIE... what is her NAME? I can't get a true hold on a character, especially an important one, until I know their name. This character is important. VERY important. I'm not even sure how important she's going to turn out to be.... Post # 13,987.....

	Morning. It's been a lazy day so far that is about to get busy in about 15 minutes or so. Vet appointment this morning for SunLord and the War Queen. Happy day. The Queen isn't going to want to get into her carrier and I'm not all that sure that SunLord is going to cooperate either. Omm: Some people take themselves entirely too seriously in that, despite being barely out of teenhood, they believe that everyone available should pay attention to what they say and give their words considerably more weight than they deserve. Sorry, my dears, but I'm afraid that taking a few college courses doesn't make you a profound thinker. Neither does all night bull sessions over libations and pizza. All that does is give you an approach to the questions -- no more than an approach -- not the answers. You will begin to realize this in about ten years or so when the effects of living life begin to accumulate. In the meantime, you would be better served, not to mention better liked, if you would shut your mouth, stop whining about how no one pays attention to what you're saying, and listen for a change. You could possibly learn something and possibly gain some of the respect that you are so desperately craving. End of rant. Time to get the kitties in the carriers. Oh happy day....

	We're back. The kitties are fine. Skywise took some damage. The War Queen dug her claws into this back/shoulder several times while the doctor was trying to examine her. SunLord was a bit more cooperative once we had him corralled. He kept trying to bolt. sigh Anyway, they are presently licking their "wounds" and restoring their dignity. I am having a root beer while continuing the train of thought that left the station on the way home. Need to do some serious thinking about events in Book 3: how they tie together, how I do I get the characters where I need for them to be and finally nailing down the specifics of the new characters that I need because I've realized that something that I had to create on the fly because "Our Hero" threw me a curve during "live posting" [he did that a LOT!] needs to be fleshed out considerably more than I'd planned to do in Book 3! So I think that the next day or so -- unless I get seriously inspired -- is going to be spent in literal plotting and character creation. Later.

	Getting dinner ready. Dug out the Louisville, KY map for tomorrow's expedition. Getting my expedition tote ready. I think I'll take the backpack/beltbag combo and leave my purse (which is a monster and heavier than you could possibly believe) at home. Travel fast and reasonably light, that's me. It will take about two and a half hours to get there. Cut over to I-65 from here (that will take about half an hour or so, depending on traffic), head south on 65 and cruise right into Louisville. �We'll probably have an early lunch on the Indiana side of the river -- we know where the Chik-fil-A is -- then cross over into Kentucky. We should be home before sundown. I will NOT be cooking tomorrow night. THAT is already decided. We just need to decide where (town and restaurant) we'll eat. Need to work on dinner. Later.

	We had a change in plans. The War Queen had shots yesterday and she wasn't quite over it by last night and still not by this morning. So we decided to wait another day before taking a daylong trip. We wouldn't have been able to enjoy it 'cause we would have worried about her all day. Skywise has taken the girls to Floral Gulch for lunch so that should appease Spirit. I stayed home to keep an eye on things. Right now, Her Majesty seems more POed than anything and you take your life in your hands if you touch her hindquarters. I have a feeling we're all going to be snubbed for a while. sigh

	Well the War Queen came up to me for some petting so I'm not totally in the doghouse! From the way she's walking, I think that her hindquarters are still pretty sore. She was NOT inclined to be the least bit cooperative yesterday and I suspect that she had her butt tensed up when she got her shots. sigh I'm hoping that she'll "walk it off" soon. Need to do something useful. Be back later.
