This is a recently discovered stone from Mexico. sometimes it is called Supernova stone. This stone is NOT mined by blasting.

What is this stone??? It's believed to be a quartz pentellerite formed as "a glassy unit that devitrified slowly under quiescent conditions." so what is quartz pentellerite. well that it was molten and cooled slowly allowing minerials to seperate and loose it's glassy appearance. This allowed the orbicules (or spherulites) to form as the different component minerals cooled and crystallized at various rates. It is these little clusters or spherulites of discrete
minerals which give the sky-like appearance to Nebula Stone.
The minerals of which Nebula Stone are made include quartz, anorthoclase feldspar, riebeckite and aegirine. The first two form the groundmass of the gem, while the latter two are an integral part of the spherulites. It's still in debate wether this stone is igneous or metamorphic. some samples have found zircon in it. and it debated back and fourth that it is a type of jade. also a study of using a x-ray dispersion analysis (EDX) in a scanning electronic microscope. als an x-ray defraction was used and found there was no magnesium and calcium which defintely elimates the possbility of this being a form of jade nephite. also found was the presence of acmite (a pyroxene) and even a trace of epidote in some samples. Which means this could be a low-grade metamorphic type which could have originally been a basalt or chert. Another suggestion is that the rock could have started out as a syenite, ending up as a pyroxene-feldspar schist.
Bottom line: it's still in debate as to whether this stone is igneous or metamorphic.

ok this stone is a dark green to almost black stone with green areas which gives the impression of a nebula.Which helps give the meaning "as above, as below" more of a meaning. what forms natually on earth will form natually in the heavens. it helps us to accept that we are part of the cosmos or universe.

The stone is used to enhance memory and let go of old thoughts no longer useful and go onto new thoughts that are useful to a person. it helps dispel fears and aids in dream recalling. As well as meditations and can help you remember the cycle of life: birth,death, and rebirth. also helps in contacting the inner realms. also gives vitality and greater energy(what sort of greater energy, i don`t know.)
