there are three major types of basalt known. Earth baslat, Lunar Basalt and Martian balsalt. the baslat from earth contains less iron than the other two. it is the stone which makes up most of the oceans crust. so this is not exactly a rare stone.

an excellent stone for creating a bond with family and/or lovers and will help strengthen them. this could be either very good or very bad.
it is a very strong grounding stone. one of the minerials found in the shiva lingam stones. and will sometimes be found as the matrixes for amethysts.

also this stone is used in hot rock therapy.
