	I've been making some preliminary notes on what I want to do with Sanctuary -- new banners to start once the upgrade is done -- but haven't done much research today. I need to get the housework and such caught up. I'll be working on that all weekend. Yep, I'll be laboring on Labor Day.

	Morning! Skywise decided to go for a walk with the cats this morning. He doesn't know that I'm up. I heard him taking to the boycats while he was getting dressed and since I didn't feel sleepy I decided to get up and get started on the things I can do while the girls are still asleep. 	Afternoon! I'm making some headway with figuring out the template codes which pleases me. Now all I have to do is figure out how to make banners with the new name on them! I did a couple of google searches and the new name shows up in them. "Serenity Sanctuary" turns up WAY too many hits that don't lead here. It was a lousy choice to begin with. I'm glad I don't have to take the blame for it! Former staff members confronted me with the accomplished fact when I came on one morning, didn't ask my opinion or anything, just told me what the name was going to be. Some nerve they had.. Oh well, things are shaping up the way I want them to, finally! �

	I've been a busy little bee this evening gathering material for my personal "YaBB Operations Manual." I'm finding a lot of stuff on the YaBB forum that I'm copying to word documents. I've already got a binder ready for the hardcopies which I will need while I'm puzzling things out. I intend to make notes which I will add to what I've gotten from the Codex which in time should make me reasonably "techie." Right now, however, I am falling asleep at the keyboard so I'm going to head out while I still can. Everyone sleep well and be safe.

	Morning all! It's a beautiful day here today! I slept well and woke up with a couple of ideas for Sanctuary that should enhance the look of the place if they work. I'm keeping a steno notebook next to the keyboard so I can write down ideas as they come to me. Right now though, I'm hungry, so I'd better eat! Later.

	Well, most of the dishes are washed and the mountain range of laundry has been reduced to foothills so I'm pleased with the day's work. I also got some stuff off of the YaBB sites for my operations manual and I'm happy about that. Dinner -- pizza -- has been served and I'm IMing with Nike and waiting for Skywise to get home. It's all good...

	Morning! After I got offline last night, Skywise and I discussed the upcoming upgrade. It's pretty much settled that we'll be doing the deed after 2 am in the morning. While the upgrade is already downloaded in a zip file, all the instructions seem to require internet access and since we don't know what will be downloading when we open those instructions, we want to be in "unlimited download" time! Yawn Right now, I need tea! In the immortal words of Arnold.... I'll be back!

	We're back! We were out of milk, which is UNTHINKABLE in this house, so we went into town to get some and some other odds and ends. I picked up another 4GB flash drive to keep Sanctuary related stuff on, mainly the YaBB manual I'm putting together. Anything we decide to keep that would take up more room than that we'll burn to a disk. Some people might think it's silly to have so many "dedicated" flash drives but as cheap as they are, it's not a huge expense and, Gods forbid, if one of them should fail, I haven't lost my whole life! Skywise feels the same way so we have a bunch of neatly stored dedicated flash drives! Enough about flash drives though! Time to be useful! I have reading to do mostly on the subjects of HTML and GIMP, more research at the YaBB sites, there is still laundry and dishes to be done (as always!) as well as whatever pops up needing my attention between now and bedtime! I'd better get moving...

	Not making much headway on the reading, too much housework to do, but I AM making headway on the housework so that's something! I'll do some reading this evening once things start to wind down a bit. I was reading in the GIMP Bible last night and it looks like it's gonna be a while before I can do anything useful with GIMP. I might have to see if someone who already knows how can make an all purpose SS banner for us to use immediately after the upgrade...

	I used my initiation cd and had a nice nap as a result! At least it is out of the way for the day and I guess that I wouldn't have slept so long if hadn't needed it. Guess I'm still running a sleep deficit from the last couple of weeks with the early shift/late shift roller coaster. I'd better get busy so we can have dinner some time soon. It doesn't "feel" like it's after 8 but it is.

	It's been a relatively quiet and pleasant day here. I settled in to sort USS's smiley list into alphabetical order. I needed something to concentrate on that wouldn't send my little brain into "tail chasing" mode. It worked. The list is sorted and I'll be numbering it tomorrow. Once I've got the smileys numbered and double checked them, I'll get the numbers entered and "saved" and that should be it for USS's smileys.

	Morning! It's chilly this morning! It's 49 degrees at the nearest reporting station! Quite a change from a month ago! I guess this means that fall is here. Oh well, I'd rather it be on the cool side than blisteringly hot like it was. You can put on enough clothes to be warm but you can't take off enough clothes to be cool! I'm planning on dyeing my hair today but I think I'll wait until this afternoon when it's a bit warmer!

	I got my hair dyed late in the day and it looks pretty good. I've been putting together a list of concerns/questions to ask at the YaBB forum. I'll probably post it sometime tomorrow and see what responses we get. 	Afternoon! I've been busy running up and down the stairs since we got home. I had to do some downloading from YaBB and I didn't want to wait until 2 am in the stupid morning so I did it over the dial-up. Took about an hour to get what I needed downloaded and made into a word document so I could print it out. THAT job is all done so now I can do something constructive in the way of chores of various sorts! Later!

	IT HAS BEGUN!!!! The vacation that is! The rain has finally started too. We've had a nice gentle rain for the last about 2 hours or so. We're hoping the the drought is broken finally. Right now, we're getting ready to head out for our usual Saturday morning errands and lunch. We'll be back!

	We're back from stuffing ourselves with Italian food! That's "my" vacation during Skywise's time off, we eat out a lot so I don't have to cook every night. We're eating out again tomorrow night, another Italian place in town, and I'll probably have pizza there. I'll cook on Monday. Spirit MUST have her "Mother's Pizza" on Mondays and Thursdays! Right now, I'm going to get some tea and digest my dinner and maybe do some simple word processing while I'm at it.
