	I'm managing to make a little progress on Book 3. The War Queen is wanting my attention so I think I'll go snuggle with her for a bit before I do more laundry.

	Morning! We're doing things a little differently this morning. We're going to the Haunted House this afternoon and it doesn't open until 3:30. We don't want to go up, come back and go up again so it looks like we'll do our usual Saturday stuff a bit later than usual and then go to the haunted house. Right now, I need to get dressed. 	Dinner turned out to be "Every man/woman for him/herself!" so that's out of the way. I'm growling 'cause my query package is sitting in a Post Office in New York. The Post Office tried to deliver it today but there was no one to take delivery so they had to leave a notice. snark! Note to self: Mail stuff on Saturday, Monday or Tuesday so that there WILL be someone at the office to accept the mail!

	I've been up for a while and so far the day's been a split decision. Most things are going well but I seem to be unable to make myself understood despite the use of simple, declarative sentences. I think I'll just speak when spoken to today and maybe I can stay out of trouble.

	I've made a couple of blog entries on mySpace today. Interesting topic I think -- they are both on the same subject with links to a couple of related blogs. Right now though, I need to putter around in the kitchen. I'll be starting dinner in a while and I should tidy things up a bit before I start making another mess.

	I laid down with the War Queen for a while and that seemed to help my achy back/hips. The dishwasher is running now and I'll be starting dinner pretty soon. Skywise has the early shift tonight and then the late shift Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and back to early on Friday which is payday, of course. Post # 16,500

	Morning! Nothing like the rumble of thunder to get you out of bed in the morning, followed closely by the wail of the tornado warning siren. We got up and got the girls up and dressed. Sensible kids, they took their pillows and purses to the basement and settled in until the storm passed. Fortunately, it's a fast moving bugger and it passed us in about 30 - 35 minutes. It's just raining now with a little thunder, which is welcome, and windy. The temperature is starting to drop but that's okay. It IS the last week of October, it shouldn't feel like early summer! I've had some tea and breakfast and now I'm having more tea to settle my nerves.. Later...

	Iz happy. I got the last of three new cookbooks I ordered today. I like the kitchen clone type cookbooks 'cause I like to put my own "spin" on things we usually eat when we're out. Spirit loves the meat filling in Taco Bell tacos and the book I got today has a recipe for it that looks like it should be closer to what we get at the local TB outlet. If Spirit likes it, that will save us some time/money. The tacos don't cost much but the gas to make the 40 minute round trip into town DOES. So, I'll need to get my mitts on some good ground chuck and the spices used in the recipe.....

	I've spent the day hunting up things on the web. I also laid down for a while and tried to sleep but couldn't. Too much caffeine plus nerves. I'll probably go out like a blown candle once Skywise gets home which won't be until 3:30 tonight, natch.

	Afternoon! It is a beautiful fall day, breezy and seasonable temperature wise. We got up at 10 (Boy! Did I need that sleep!) and ran into Greenwood for lunch and to hit the grocery that we patronize for our fresh meat purchases. Then, with the meat in a cooler, we headed down south and into town to pay the electric bills and the mortgage. THEN, we headed for home! We are now home -- obviously! -- and Skywise has taken the boycats for a walk in the woods since they didn't get their walk yesterday and were a bit disappointed about that. I've been keeping in touch with Skywise by radio and commenting on one of my favorite mySpace blogs, the link to which is posted elsewhere on Sanctuary. All in all, a good day so far.

	Wishing that the FedEx guy would get here with my package! I'm also hoping that my new GIMP book will show up tomorrow! The book I have is VERY complete but at the rate I'm getting through it, it's gonna be 6 months before I can make anything! The new book is supposed to get you working right away. Hope so! I wanna MAKE something!
