	sigh It isn't raining or snowing tonight but we keep losing the satellite connection. Skywise thinks that ice crystals in the upper atmosphere are what's causing the problem and I agree with him. It's in the 40s down here at ground level and probably a lot colder higher up.

	Morning! I'm pretty sure that it's still morning anyway! With the time change last night, I'm still a tad out of sync with everything. I'm hoping that an infusion of caffeine will help. Skywise is working on the copier which is being cranky. Hopefully, we won't have to get a new one for a few more years yet...

	Well, we've done all we can do on the copier right now. The last thing to try is a new ink cartridge which I ordered a few minutes ago. We know we're going to need to get a new copier in a few years but we'd like to delay that for a while if we can. A new one will cost considerably less than the one we have, thank goodness, but a new ink cartridge costs even less so we're gonna try that first! I'm working on Book 3, a scene between Our Heroine and her newly discovered niece. The girl has issues (which I will need to develop) and attitude but she's a good kid who has had a rough time of it. I decided that immediate bonding between father and daughter would be the easy way to go so I decided head in the opposite direction....

	I've made progress on the section of Book 3 I'm working on and what's revealed in this section has told me what another section should consist of. So it's all good.

	Afternoon. We went into town the first thing this morning and since the agent I queried on Saturday wasted no time in rejecting me this morning, we swung by the post office and dropped off a hardcopy query in addition to the usual Monday stuff we needed to do. Now I need tea and since I'm bummed and in a bad mood, chocolate. Be back later once I've been caffeinated and chocolatized.

	sigh At about 4 pm, we had a brief power outage and NOW we are unable to connect to the internet through the satellite. I'm posting this through the dial-up just to let everyone know we're okay, just unable to get online through our satellite hookup. I'll run the kids off this computer periodically to check on things but until this is fixed, I'm not going to be around much.

	We are back on satellite! I've had the computer shut down -- rather than just in sleep mode -- for the last hour and a half and that seems to have done the trick! I will now get caught up!

	I've been over on USS helping test the "members only" chat feature that was just installed. So far it looks good and works good too. I'm still figuring out which buttons to push but it's pretty intuitive.

	Afternoon! We went down to Floral Gulch this morning and got some stuff. The Christmas decorations are already up in the mall. sigh I really wish that they would wait until AT LEAST the week of Thanksgiving to put all that stuff out. It's nice for everyone who wants to get everything done by December 1st but the rest of us are thoroughly sick of it by the time we get to December 25th! I need tea and to get caught up. Later.

	Well, I got reasonably caught up. I've been trying to puzzle out a wiring diagram for a piece of equipment that I need that doesn't quite match the author's description. I haven't figured out yet if I'm reading the diagram wrong or if he got his "left" and "right" mixed up. The fact that the illustration he refers to doesn't completely match the description does NOT help. I think that he probably knows about the error but hasn't bothered to correct it in the "free for the downloading" stuff he has on his website but has the corrected version in his "for sale" personal instruction lessons. �

	I found myself in sudden need of a nap so, since Skywise will be home late tonight, I took one! Now, I have to get busy since I have to run the dishwasher and bake a cake before I make dinner.

	The dishwasher is churning away and I'll be baking the cake as soon as it's done. Fortunately, the cake doesn't take long to put together and if I time it right, the cake will come out of the oven right before dinner goes in. I'll have time so I'll probably frost the cake in the morning.

	I went ahead and did the cake. I decided not to wait until later to make it. It will be a while before I start dinner -- since it would be nice if it were somewhat edible by the time Skywise gets home -- but that's okay. It isn't like there are a lot of other things I should be doing this time of night.

	Had tea. Had cake. Will have more of both. Skywise has headed for work and things seem to be settling down. THANK THE IMMORTAL GODS! I will now see if I can figure out the "wiring" diagram that doesn't match the author's description. Good thing I have at least a basic knowledge of how electric circuits are supposed to work. That knowledge will be of enormous help in figuring this mess out...

	Taking a break from drawing diagrams. Got fed up with waiting for a book to arrive so at Skywise's suggestion, I ordered another copy from another vendor. "Book Rate" is slow but NOT that slow and we're both thinking that the first one won't show up at all. In which case, I'll have to go through the hassle of getting the purchase taken off my credit card which I will do if November 16th comes and goes with no delivery! The second book was shipped today from somewhere in Illinois so, depending on the rate they chose, I could have it by the weekend. Which would be NICE since I ordered the first book on the 22nd of October and still haven't gotten it. snark!

	I've been working on a word document made from a PDF I downloaded. The subject is interesting and I'm working on figuring out how to add it to my "book world." It has certainly given me some ideas about how to flesh out Our Hero's training in mind control....
