	I needed to come up with a different name for an organization in my books. What I was using was a bit too close to something that is trademarked, copyrighted and too damned well known for me to be comfortable using it. So out it went! After some thought, I came up with something else that will work. Now I have to decide if I can keep using the insignia I designed or if I need to make another one.... Post # 16,700

	Skywise is on his way and it's coming down in buckets. The trees are getting a nice coat of ice on them but it isn't freezing on the ground. Yet.

	Sounds like something just hit the roof. That's the second time in about the last 30 - 40 minutes. Anything that can come down apparently is. Oh joy.

	There's a break in the rain at the moment. So far there have been no further suspicious "thuds" on the roof and the power has stayed on. We lost the satellite connection for a while but I can live without the internet. I just want the power to stay on! I've been working on "non-Castle" word documents today -- no hysterics if the power goes off before something is saved -- and I'm about to get the dishwasher loaded. Then, after dinner, I'll be getting the kitchen organized for tomorrow's "Cook-a-thon."

	Dishwasher has stopped and is partly unloaded. We had another band of rain go through but it has passed now. The temperature is going up so that will put a stop to the "freezing" nonsense, at least for tonight. I'm going to be starting dinner pretty soon which is a good thing. The cook -- that's me -- is hungry!

	Morning! For a few minutes more anyway! I slept a little later than I'd planned this morning. Thunderstorms rolled in at 2:30 am this morning and disrupted my sleep. They weren't bad, just noisy and it took me a while to go back to sleep. I'm now getting ready to make the flour fly. I'm aiming for dinner in about 6 hours so I'd better get busy!

	Okay, the apple pie is in the oven. In about half an hour, I'll start working on the pumpkin pie. The oven will have to cool some before I can bake the pumpkin pie but that's okay. It will give me a little time to rest. I seem to have gotten up with some upper chest congestion this morning -- probably caused by the wide temperature fluctuations we've been having. It's hard to dress for the weather when it can be fall in the morning and spring in the afternoon! Plus, the schedule that the Post Office has had us on makes it hard for me to get enough sleep. sigh Guess I'm going to have to start taking longer afternoon naps again...

	Skywise saw me looking at hard hats on Amazon and said that we should check Menards and the other home improvement places that sell to contractors so maybe I'll get my "helmet base" this weekend. fingers crossed I want to take my time designing it. I'll probably end up making more than one though. I'm like that.... But right now, this very sleepy little writerperson/cook is going to head out before I fall asleep on the keyboard! � I hope that you all had a Happy Thanksgiving! Everyone sleep well and be safe.

	Greetings! We headed for town first thing this morning and got back a while ago. I'm pleased because Wal-Mart has most of the seasons of Smallville in stock and except for Season 9, they are $15 a set which is less than Amazon has them for. I indulged and got Season 7 today. Now, I'm going to have some pie -- we had lunch in town -- and some tea. Then I'm going to put in some time on the books. Later.

	Annoyed. There is no Smallville tonight. There is a high school football game on instead. It's gonna be shown on Sunday night and it is a repeat from a couple of weeks ago but still! sigh Oh well, it should be on next Friday...

	Afternoon! The day has turned out bright and sunny, if chilly. I got a book in the mail -- it's out of print and looks interesting. We got done what we needed to do this morning and we're in until tomorrow when we'll head into town and do what we would have done on Friday if the Post Office had released Skywise's check on Wednesday, which would have been nice since he had Thursday off. Oh well, shopping on Sunday morning isn't so bad -- everyone else is either sleeping in/having a lazy morning or in church! I finally got through the proofing of Book 2 last night and I'm starting the corrections today. Time to get the tea, load the washer and get busy!
