	I got about half of Book 2 corrected before Nike got online and we started chatting. I'll get it finished up tomorrow. I've had to rewrite a few things and I'll be tweaking a few more before I'm done. I've changed/added some things to the worldview since Book 2 was written and I'm having to bring a few things into line with the new thinking. I'll probably have to print and proof another copy before I can call Book 2 "done" but I'm not going to worry about that tonight!

	Morning! We have another bright and chilly day here. Skywise has taken the cats for a morning walk. I don't think that they will be gone long, the furpersons seem to have a dislike for the cold. Which is good, that way they won't give Skywise an argument when it is time to come in! We'll be going into town when they get back -- lunch and shopping for groceries. We haven't started the Christmas shopping yet. We'll be doing that when it gets a little closer to "the day".

	Went to town, had lunch, bought stuff and got out of there with "some" money left. I took advantage of a sale so that cut into the budget a bit but I'll use what I bought so it's worth it. I'm trying to lay in some basic supplies in advance of the winter months. You never know when you won't be able to get into town...

	Dinner is done and we're just chilling. I discovered a typo in Book 1 this afternoon so I'm thinking that more proofing of that manuscript is in order. sigh At least I've been "away" from it long enough that I should be able to "see" them when I hit one.

	It's been a bit of a busy morning. Skywise let me sleep late and I had to hit the ground running. He's left for work now and I'm getting organized for the rest of the day. More dishes and more laundry.. sigh Some writing too, I guarantee!

	Okay.. Someone just pounded on the front door. It was Skywise. He'd stopped for gas on the way to work and when he was finished, the car wouldn't start! He's spent the last three hours getting the car towed to the shop, getting back here and he's now taken the van to work. He'd already called his boss so that he knows where he is and that he's on his way. And yes, I gave him a hug and a kiss before he left again....

	I'm slowly getting everything washed up, one sink full of dishes at at time. I may not get started on the laundry tonight but definitely tomorrow. The next big thing is figuring out where we're going to put the Christmas tree....

	Afternoon. We went into town to pay the mortgage and have lunch. The P.O. changed Skywise's schedule for the week and have completely messed things up. sigh We'll manage but we're going to be running like hell tomorrow on little sleep. I was hoping that the first of the month would be less hectic this time. Oh well....

	I've got a few more things to check but the proofing and tweaking of Book 2 is done, pretty much. When I've double checked this pile of pages beside me, I'll call it "completely done." The next step will be to make another hardcopy to go over and make any corrections I missed on the first pass. THEN, I'll call it "done" pending suggestions from an editor!

	Skywise got out of here more or less on time. We found out how much it's gonna take to get the car back on the road. At least it's less than car payments... As soon as the water heater recovers from Spirit's bath -- that girl does LOVE her hot water! -- I'll tackle the mountain range of laundry that's piled up over the holiday. Skywise won't be home until 3:30 am so I think I'll have plenty of time to get a few loads washed and dried!

	Afternoon! Skywise has been working on the computer most of the morning. I had an unusual number of crashes last night -- I usually don't have any -- and when he tried to back up the computer, the backup failed. So he was poking around with it until nearly 5 this morning and again when he got up. He's done all the "usual" things and my job today is to "test" the programs I was running last night and see what, if anything happens. sigh We just had another backup failure.... There is a glitch in there somewhere...

	The good news is that I've found the problem with the computer. The bad news is that a word document I was working on last night -- fortunately nothing "book" related -- is going to have to be trashed in order to fix the problem, which since I can't even open the document now, is probably what I'd have to do anyway. If we can't retrieve a copy from the Time Machine, I'll have to start over. Le sigh..... It was close to a hundred pages long....

	Afternoon. We're back from Floral Gulch. Skywise decided to get Snow Leopard for our Macs and the nearest Best Buy is in Floral Gulch so off we went! We picked up the car on the way back so that little chore is off our minds. The crash problems we were having have been fixed. Unfortunately, we couldn't recover any of the word document that was causing the problem so I'm going to have to start over. Oh joy. Guess I'd better get caught up and get started on it while I still remember what was on it....

	Skywise left for work about ninety minutes ago and I've been working on reassembling that word document. It's slow going but I'm making headway. At least Skywise has the scanner working so I can hand draw the diagrams, scan them into the computer and then put them into the word document. That will simplify things enormously. I probably should take a break and do some dishes....... ick!

	I'm working on dinner and that word document. I'm making some headway but I still have a way to go. Nike has gone to bed and I've left USS for the night. Skywise is going to be downloading some stuff tonight after he gets home plus he has the early shift tomorrow so we'll be staying in the morning and I'll be making a rather large breakfast which we'll probably have around the time most other people are having lunch!

	Afternoon! Slept late. Woke up with the War Queen's claws in my hair. Convinced her to let me go... Got up, had tea, made breakfast.. Now having more tea and getting caught up.. Skywise has the early shift today. I don't know what tomorrow's schedule looks like and I gotta start on Christmas Shopping! GAAKKKKKK!!!!!
