I have my new DVD so as soon as I make some room -- again! -- downstairs I'll start on getting back to where I was a couple of years ago, knees/legs willing.

I am cautiously optimistic. What I'm doing seems to be helping. The pain is still there but there's considerably less of it and I'm able to walk most of the time without a limp. On a scale of one to ten -- with ten being unable to walk without a cane -- the pain has been in the three to four range (without painkillers) where before it was in the five to six range and I was unable to walk without limping, sometimes very noticeably. I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing and work on building muscle in my legs. (My upper body is in pretty good shape considering.) Once I have some strength and stamina built up, I can ease back into dancing. At least that's my intention.

I've had to give up dancing.
I've had to give up even thinking about dancing.
"Walking" is about all I can do and that is incredibly painful.
When/if I have my knees replaced I'll be looking at a year's worth of rehab and then there's no guarantee that I'll be free of pain and have the mobility necessary for dancing.
Therefore, since I'm the only "dancer" here...
I'm locking this thread.
