	http://whatismyipaddress.com/ This is a pretty good site, from what I've seen, for looking up your own or other's addresses. Very useful if you have your own site

	It's a great site because one can check to see if an IP addy is on a blacklist or not too. Most of the time, I don't show up in my end of NS, I show up elsewhere in the province... Sometimes I show up being elsewhere in Atlantic Canada. Having dial up internet means my IP addy changes each time I go online.... Heh.

	Most of the time IP searches I've done have put me in a completely different state. This site actually has not only the correct state but the correct city for me.

	Agreed, that site is VERY accurate... It's just with the way dial up internet is set up, each time one connects with a server, one will get a different IP addy because we're not connected full time and dial up servers work a tad differently than high speed ones do. My IP addy always starts with the same 8 numbers, it's the last ones that change constantly. I've shown up as far away as Utah believe it or not... That was back in March, after my ISP's dial up server for Atlantic Canada crashed for a few days... But for the most part, nowadays I show up somewhere in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick or PEI... I think the closest my IP addy showed to my real area was something like Windsor, which is over an hour away from here.... Otherwise, it shows me at the opposite end of Nova Scotia. It's odd but kinda funny!!

	That's the site I normally use to check IPs. It never returns the right area for me because of the kind of internet provider service I use. Which can be useful.....

	Yeah, that's one of the few benefits of either Dial Up or Satellite
