I used to love the candlelight services at my old church before some snobs literally took over the church....... I don't go there any more unless it's a special service like a funeral or a wedding these days.

Anyway, Son is having a snack and watching Garfield right now. I'm going to finish getting things together for when Hubby gets home and we'll hang Son's stocking when his Daddy gets here.... Cheesy

Morning and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all who celebrate it! Cheesy

We finished unwrapping gifts about half an hour ago and I'm vegging for a bit before cooking Christmas dinner.

Son is beyond excited!! He got everything he asked for and more, including a bowling game for the computer!! Cheesy I'll be installing that in a couple of hours so he can play it while I'm cooking. Tongue

I got a countertop convention toaster oven and a pair of sapphire earrings from the guys... LOVE!! Cheesy

But the most unique present under the tree for me? A copy of
The History Of Witchcraft and Demonology by Montague Summers from my BIL and his girlfriend!!!  Smiley They made a trip into the Pagan bookstore in Halifax, somewhere I would LOVE to go!! Cheesy

It's been a great Christmas so far and we're NOT done yet... We still have to exchange gifts with my MIL and Hubby's youngest brother!! Cheesy

I'm around for a couple of hours... Excited but I'm here!! Cheesy

The chicken and stuffing are now in the oven... In about an hour or so, I'll flip the bird over and finish roasting it.

Son is loving the toy he got from Santa... He is insisting on playing with it in the kitchen even when I'm cooking, the little monkey!! Roll Eyes

Skywise is convinced that the Warrior Princess is aptly named. "She doesn't have teeth. She has FANGS!" was his assessment.  She was "attacking" his forearm and nommed on him with so much enthusiasm that she nearly broke the skin which may explain Danger Princess's occasional loss of temper at her sister if WP goes after her with the same vigor. And she appears to do exactly that.

Morning everyone!

It's Boxing Day here in Canada (EH????), meaning most stores in my area are CLOSED and there is no mail, it's a government holiday here.

We had a great day yesterday.... I managed to cook the chicken to perfection (my husband's words!) and didn't burn anything, we all made out like bandits with cool stuff for gifts and we had a lot of laughs with Hubby's family later in the evening. The best part of it? Seeing my son get so excited when he saw all of the gifts under the tree and seeing how happy he was with everything that everyone got him!

We still have to exchange gifts with my side of the family so technically, the holiday isn't over for us yet... Sissy said they'll be down sometime in January but I'll believe that when it actually happens... We've had to go to her house the last couple of years and that didn't happen until MARCH.... Roll Eyes

Anyway, I AM around for most of the day today... I have a LOT to catch up on and to do!!  Smiley Time to get another coffee and start getting caught up I guess!!

Afternoon! Smiley

The babygirlcats had a vet appointment for 10 this morning (Round 2 of their shots) and we got that done and set the date for their spaying surgery -- January 18th, barring blizzards or ice storms! The doctor also checked out DP's sore leg and he confirmed my belief that it is a strained/stressed/pulled muscle that should heal up fine on its own.  Once that was done, we came home, let them out of the carrier and then headed back to town to finish up our errands and have lunch. We are now home and boy am I glad.
I have tea and I'm gonna get me some dessert and get caught up!
