Right now, I've got "Whom Gods Destroy" by Whom Gods Destroy cranked up on the earbuds and wondering if I can sneak in a reread of what I wrote today while Son isn't near the computer...... And if that fat furball of ours will stop digging me in the leg, silly furbaby!!

Morning, hon. Although the sun will set here in about ninety minutes or so! Yes, there always seems to be pesky gnatlike creatures that need to mangled with extreme prejudice....

LOL! I had Amber scare the socks off of me earlier when she jumped up on top of my monitor... I'm so glad this one is one of the heavy and large ones, cause that cat weighs in at 15 pounds and would break one of the flat LCD ones...

I know.... We don't get up until around 12:30 Vegas time and hubby leaves for work around 2:30. Vegas doesn't come alive until the sun goes down!  When we get back to Seattle we will have to adjust a little bit or nothing will get done.  They seem to roll up the sidewalks a bit early, in my opinion. :p Chef and aspiring artist...we are creatures of the night.


How goes the writing ladies?

It comes. I'm working on a less demanding section of Chapter 13 at the moment and if I don't get some inspiration related to the section I'm reworking, I'll probably move on to the "battle with the vampire raiders" section.  I still have to write up the Hero's bachelor party which will involve a very detailed description of a belly dancer's performance and Our Hero's reaction to it.... hehehehe But I'll probably work on that after I've gotten the "heavy lifting" done.

AS for "sidewalks" we don't have any out here. WAAAAYYYYYY too far out in the woods for such things. The nearest town which is four miles away closes up very early.  The county seat which is seven miles away and on two major north/south highways has a few places that stay open until 1 or 2 in the morning but only the Wal-Mart and, I believe, the town's largest grocery store stay open past 9 or 10 in the evening.

I'm glad it is no longer driving you nuts! I'm sure it is hard going when you're balancing J, housework and all that with writing. I know I have a hard time and I don't have a child! I'm so happy that you are inspired and are continuing to work on it!

Belly dancing bachelor party.... Now that sounds like fun but then you said vampires! *bounce* I love vamps and zombies! Sounds like my kind of book!

I'm going to be working on shading for my Wip "gears". I have an IDE for a steampunk piece that elements need to be perfected so I can translate the vision in my head to paper and make it come alive. If you ever see any cool steampunk artists or pictures send them my way. I'm always looking for more inspiration! After that I will be working on my Celtic piece. I've finally hammered out the way I want to ink it now it just needs to be done. I will have to put some pics possibly.

Here in Vegas sidewalks never roll up... It's awesome. Vegas isn't quite the same now az it was the last time we lived here. The strip is the only action.. Although I do miss Seattle and the art scene..especially my studio.

Thanks! Yeah it is hard to balance things between Son, Hubby, housework, my work in here and my writing but I manage to do it.... I'm so glad I'm able to multi-task! I can keep an eye on things in here and get up to wash dishes, take care of Son, etc. I did my writing while online today, I've done that plenty of times before although I find things generally go smoother in that department if I'm offline, I'm able to concentrate fully on it.

Penth's writing is awesome... So is the world she created for the books!

I'd miss good old NS if I ever moved away... I'm so used to the ocean being nearby and the rugged scenery here... Heck I'd even miss the occasional hurricane if I ever moved to another part of Canada, and I HATE hurricanes with a passion!! LOL

I live in the country too but in a mini neighborhood of about 10 or so houses that although we have pretty big yards/properties, we're all within sight of each other and we do watch each other's houses and yards for stuff that's out of place, kind of an unofficial neighborhood watch.

I wish I could dance naked out in our backyard but we don't have any fences up yet and it's QUITE visible from the road and the neighbor's house to the north.... There's a line of trees to the south of the house, on the line between our property and the guy who lives to the south of us. We like it here though, everyone minds their own business while helping each other at the same time, there is hardly any gossip flying around and no one is hostile, or as I would call it, "target practice". I'm just glad my sister didn't purchase the one house across the road and down a ways, because that would mean "there goes the neighborhood"................

I was on MW for many, many years on and off.  I thought I remembered your screen name and I think I even perused that thread. I went by Tabby on MW as well. I am going to need to read through the thread here! I love vampires and it sounds like I would love your story! Sounds like you have a society/class story going and those books always rock! I seem to run out of good books to read. Hubby loves them as well! When be went to art school he loved drawing vampires.

When I lived in Ohio I was in the semi country and had a fair amount of privacy. The back meadow was great for meditation and rituals but not quite private enough for naked dancing. I'm not shy but it might of shocked my rather conservative neighbors. Lol

We eventually want to get a house by the sound in WA. We like water and that's our goal. We both have lived in the country for many years though and it definitely has it's benefits.

Hmmm... I keep thinking about the belly dancing heroine and vampires.

T-minus 25 minutes until I can dive back into #7.... 

Hmmm...More details or leave it as is???? It's pretty "detailed" now but I'll see how it is after I do the reread/edit.... 

When that happens to me with the writing, I keep changing files until I find something that clicks with the brain.

Speaking of the writing, the guys are now in bed so Word is now OPEN to the scene I rewrote today...... 

I just finished rereading what I wrote today and made a few quick edits again. It turned out better than I had hoped, it's good stuff and I think it will be the actual "scene" one reads when it's finally published... With a few edits, that is, it's not perfect but it's pretty darn close!!
