Washed my hair, got some rest, supervised interaction on my bed between the Queen and WP (who was determined to establish her right to sleep on it) and roamed the internet for a bit. I also worked on Chapter 13 a bit. Didn't get a lot done but it is moving ahead.

I did clear my cache and restart firefox several times and even tried another browser before the options appeared for me.  It was a post I had wanted to edit within 5 minutes of making it which was why it was a concern.  For some reason they were gone and then they came back.  I used to work in basic tech support for many years.  I do all the routine things I know to try to find a solution before I bug anyone.  I know the difference between an issue beyond my control and a PBDAC Tongue  I don't like being a burden to anyone.  Don't apologize for living life when the living is good Smiley  And Happy Belated Birthday! Can't sleep... sore throat - so here I am!  Cup of tea, a big blanket and my lappy.  So, the past few days have been eventful.  Tire store burnt down about 12 blocks from here - it's completely destroyed but finally out.  The oldest had to go to emerg the other night, then to an ultrasound the next day.  Company came through on their way to Saskatchewan and I've been learning the useful art of darning socks.  It's the Bloke's birthday this Sunday as well.  Not sure what to get him.  He said "love n affection"  but you should have seen the man's face when he came home from getting his gift from his mom.  A manfrotto tripod.  I suggested it to her because I knew he wanted it but I couldn't afford it.  I don't think I can compete with the love for a new toy!  Maybe by baking the most awesome cake....  ?  Grin

It's a windy day here, partly sunny and I'm hoping the power stays on. This is the tail end of the storm we got yesterday, it's moving out and the wind is the result of it. Son has had his breakfast and is watching some children's shows on the preschool channel. The cats are happy we're downstairs and Amber has been zooming around a little bit. Expecting some kind of furry silliness at some point!!

I'm around for a few hours today.... It all depends on if the power holds and what time Husband gets home from work, he's working day shift at the station today. Cheesy

It's "All Star" weekend in the NHL... All Star is in quotes because most of the best players playing for the East are from Ottawa, which happens to be where the game and the skills competition are being played this year... Roll Eyes

There ARE two Leafs on the team but it's mostly focusing on the Senators because of where it's all happening. BLECH.

Indianapolis is "all things Super Bowl" this weekend and through next week. The actual game is a week from tomorrow and I think that the whole city will be exhausted by then!

That is part of the reason why I am SO GLAD Nova Scotia doesn't have an NHL or CFL franchise... The entire province would be going NUTS if any playoff or finals games were played here!

Hubby's been grumbling about how the commentators on CBC are talking about how "good" some of the current NHL players are... Notably Chara. He's supposed to have the "hardest" slapshot in the NHL but Hubby was going on and on about how some of the old time players out of the 60s and before had slapshots that were well over 110 mph... Apparently Chara's slapshot is only about 100 mph, tops from what I've heard.

I don't pay attention to the NHL all stars weekend, it's a bunch of bull funky if you ask me........ Roll Eyes

Morning everyone!

It's another bright sunny day here, and I'm loving it! The clearer the skies are the better because that means LESS chance of the white garbage!! However, we're supposed to get some snow tomorrow afternoon (GAG!) so it's hard to say what's going to happen with school, etc this week. I'm just hoping I can get one or two days where I have a couple of hours to write in peace and quiet!!

Hubby works day shift again today... He was supposed to work evening shift originally but switched things around with one of his coworkers who wanted the day time off. No complaints, that means he won't be so groggy in the morning when the alarm goes off to get Son up for school. Son is currently watching TV and making a LOT of noise with his toys and imitating the shows he's watching!

I'm around for a good part of the daytime... There isn't as much wind today that there was yesterday.

Time to get another coffee and get caught up! Cheesy
