Believe it or not, it's all plain vanilla stuff for a change!! Shocking I know considering how "bad" I can get in our adult area here!! LOL It's ideas on how certain GOOD characters help the main characters out with different things and how the leading man covers his true nature by being a first class donkey's butt!!

On that note, I'm heading out now... It's 1:30 a.m. here and Hubby works tomorrow morning... Knowing Son, I'll be awake before 6 and that means NO SLEEP for Veridian unless I crawl into my nest shortly.

I started doing laundry and other assorted house work and the next thing I know it's almost 5 am!  So I'm thinking I'll be sleeping part of my day away again.  I don't sleep well when the bloke is on nights anyway so at least I've gotten a few things done.   

I've been using Home n student (MS) office for a few years now but I mainly got it because it was the only one my Palm TX can synchronize with for documents.  I've never really bothered to learn what it can really do.  I really enjoy the portability of my TX.  Even with the keyboard, it will fit easily inside a purse or inside coat pocket which is great because I often find inspiration away from home and it's faster than pen and paper. I actually find that I use libre or open office more when it comes to writing on the computer in general.  It it consistent across linux and windows.

IT'S COLD!!!

Afternoon! Just woke up!  v It's cold here as well though not as bad as yesterday.  Now that you mention it Penth, I think I'll grab a hot chocolate too! 

The Home n Student version of MS office is very basic.. no front page or anything like that.  I'll have to log into my big computer's Mint to get the names of the other programs I was playing with.  I also bought Storybook, specifically for writing when the creator had a $10 special that was supposed to receive a free upgrade but they've never honoured it.  The customer service is non-existent.  They have never replied to my emails and actually erased my inquiry from their Facebook page.   Then they removed most of the support links for my version and made a note on their support page they are ONLY providing support for their newest paid versions.  So, I am not wasting my money on the "pro" version.  It's a shame because I liked the software.   

Libre and Star are both essentially Open Office.  Like linux distributions they are all slightly different flavours. 

I'm back.

After two cups of hot cocoa I STILL wasn't warm, especially my feet so I gave up and laid down with the Queen and, sure enough, I fell asleep. When I woke up, Skywise was using the computer so I got on some other projects. Now he's done and I'm back for the rest of the night.

Hi everyone! I've been in for a bit but haven't had a chance to post until now.

We had a rainstorm last night that ended in some snow and freezing rain but didn't get a lot of the white stuff, thank the gods, only a dusting or a cm or two. Enough to make the yard white but not enough to scoop out of the driveway. No complaints, I'm just hoping things don't freeze on the roads for morning.

I'm getting talked to by a chubby orange and black kitty cat. Amber is in one of her "I wanna talk to [Veridian] constantly!" moods and it is beyond CUTE how she's mowing at me!! I do love a talkative kitty, that means they want to interact with their hoomans as much as possible!! LOL

I'm going to be around for the rest of the day... I may be quiet  by times but I WILL be here if anyone wants to talk, act silly or just needs a friend.

Time to get another coffee and get caught up... 

We're heading into town for some lunch and shopping. Be back in a couple of hours.

Our furbabies are currently napping... I'm expecting kitteh insanity later today though!! LOL

Fluffy Girl is still passed out on top of my leather jacket and I have no clue where Fatso is... I think she's in the bathroom, snoozing on top of the dirty clothing in the hamper.

Which reminds me, I have to do LAUNDRY.... BLECH!!! 

Proofing on Book 1 has reminded me painfully of the inept "writers" I was working with "back in the day."
Thank the Gods their characters have been killed off later in the series.....

I'm considering turning the underneath my desk into a bomb shelter because of those two crazy furbabies!! I think they're both still asleep so mayhem will happen later, probably after I go to bed... Amber digging at the bedroom door HOWLING is one thing I have to look forward to!!

Gotta love my furballs though... Even if they are ebil!! LOL

Our house is still standing too, thank the gods.... For now!! LOL I didn't hear the ceiling creaking about an hour ago so I figure the guys didn't do a lot of roughhousing before bedtime... But tehn again I WAS listening to media player in the ear buds...

To keep myself from going completely paranoid, I am now doing an image search for the only Canadian in my "Big Three" favorite hot celebs......
