Morning.

It's another rainy day here... I think we even had some thundershowers overnight. Joy.

I'm here for a while, not sure how long. We may be going to town today to get something for Son's birthday, he'll be 8 on Tuesday... ALREADY!! Shocked Thankfully he has given us a few ideas so we have lots of leeway on what to get him.

Time to get caught up. I'm around for a little bit anyway. Tongue

It's cool and sunny here this morning. Skywise has the cats out for a walk and the girls are sleeping in. I'm about ready to go downstairs and work on the makeup table. I'm almost to the point where I can start painting it.

"Short Stuff" is back!! We went to Walmart, got Son a GREAT birthday gift (not saying publicly, he reads EVERYTHING he sees on the boards here!), we're stocked up on Pepsi and I have enough salad fixings for a couple of days thanks to a quick trip to two farmers' markets.

I purchased some caramel-apple jam to try today at the one farmers' market and I decided to try it now...

It is TO DIE FOR!!! It is SOOOOOOOOOOO good, it takes just like a spiced, caramel apple. YUMMY!!!  Smiley

I'm going to head out for the night now... I'm going to go through some spell books, and see what I can use in place of angelica root because I may wind up going down that route with a certain local situation.... Long story, the saga makes the LONG version of Stephen King's "The Stand" look like a short flip book.... Roll Eyes

I have completely disassembled the makeup table. It was a [female dog] of a job! And I don't expect the reassembly once it is all painted to be any easier! On the plus side, the back of the table needs only a bit of touch up sanding to be ready for the paint. The top needs to have one more piece of 3/4 inch square dowel which I'm using for molding to be glued down, a couple of small dings need wood filler and some final sanding and it will be ready to paint. The sides need more work but I can't get on that until I get the wood I need and that won't be until Saturday. I've decided that I'm not masochistic enough to try to work on both the makeup table and the wardrobe at the same time. There just isn't enough room in the work area for me to to the job right AND without losing my mind! So I'll finish painting the makeup table and then start the priming process for the wardrobe. It will take longer but I am reasonably assured of retaining my sanity by the time I'm finished! The long and the short of it is, tomorrow Skywise and I are gonna haul the back up to the Guest House and primer (the regular kind!) will be applied! I'll probably have to do it one side at a time since I can't figure out how to get the thing to stand up without the sides on it!

Morning. I've been here for a while but have been VERY busy getting caught up with things.

It's another school day and Hubby works a shorter evening shift tonight... I should be around most of the daytime unless something comes up or my body tells me to have a nap!

One of the FB pages I follow shared a recipe... It sounds SO GOOD!! I may try to make them for the next family get together in August, I don't think my aunt will mind a little help in the food department! It's something right up my mother's alley too... I passed along the recipe to my friends in FB so everyone can see it too! Cheesy

Afternoon.

The back of the makeup table is moved.
It is primed.
Painting will commence between 6 and 7 pm.
My fingers hurt a bit but there is no sign of blistering.
I've had tea but... I. NEED. MORE!!!!!

The only reason why I have timeline on my main profile now is because I "had" to get it in order to have a certain game... Roll Eyes Otherwise I would have waited until they violated it themselves!

To my knowledge, my old profile and my Veridian profile are still the old school way and will remain so until FB violates them without my permission.............

I am back. Good progress is being made on the laundry. The first coat of black paint is on the back of the makeup table with the second coat scheduled to be applied tomorrow afternoon. The back "should" be ready to return to the basement by Tuesday morning. By then, I'll have the wood I need to finish the sides and the top will be ready to paint.

The day's last load of laundry is in the dryer and I'll be starting dinner in bit. My scalded hand is doing pretty well. My right index finger is the only part still showing 'damage' and that wasn't until it was exposed to hot water, through my dishwashing glove, when I was doing the dishes. I don't know if it is going to blister now or not. I guess I'll know in a day or two.
