I tried doing a FULL word count by using Excel and a calculator. Brain is NOT coherent enough to read the freaking tiny numbers I have up on Excel at the moment, I wanted ALL chapters' word counts visible on the screen at once so I didn't have to scroll down the page at all...

And I'm still thinking of working on Chapter 31. I must be really stupid or something, I've been up over 18 hours and have been working on NR since about 8:30 this morning, it's after 11:30 now............. Shocked

Morning.

I slept in a little, thanks to Hubby letting me, and the brain is still not fully coherent yet. (Coffee time!)

I'm still on the fence about chapter 30 in NR... So I'm going to just let it sit for a few days and mull over other possibilities for the storyline to see if I can figure out anything better than what's there now. If not, I'll just continue on in Chapter 31 and go from there... If something better comes to mind, I'll 86 the parts I'm unsure about and write up whatever comes to mind instead.

I'll be here for a good part of the daytime, unless the weather says otherwise.

Stay safe no matter what LD!

We have sunshine here but will have thundershowers overnight and into tomorrow by the looks of things. *SIGH* And the Atlantic Hurricane Centre in Halifax still isn't 100% sure which way storm "Leslie" is going to go either. They're thinking Newfoundland along the Avalon Peninsula but that can change in a heartbeat... Case in point, Hurricane Juan in Sept 2003.

I'm going to be checking Environment Canada and the National Hurricane Center's sites on and off all day to see exactly where the meteorologists think that dratted thing and storm Michael are going.... GRRRRRRRRRRRRR.......

Afternoon.
There is 2 3/8 inches of rain in the bucket I left outside yesterday. It's not as accurate has a rain gauge but I don't need it that precise. We're back from our usual Saturday chores (obviously!) and since it is entirely too wet for Skywise to cut the grass as he'd planned, he's gonna take the cats for a long walk. I'll be here -- since the kits don't always want to go with him -- doing still more laundry. Since he won't be wearing any of them for three weeks, Skywise's dress shirts are gonna get washed today!

I'm back for the evening. We went out to dinner (YAY! NO COOKING!!) and I'm settling in to edit the last 30 pages of Book 1. After we get back tomorrow, current plans call for a trip to the city, I'll print it out so I can do one final proofing before I start the copyrighting process.

We're getting thunderstorms today so I am not sure how much I'll be around, but I will be here as much as I can be between storms!

Penth, I would have dived back into the reread of Book 1 but it's kind of hard to read a GOOD story when you have an 8 year old screaming in your ear, as you know.... Roll Eyes I am planning to dive into the reread again this week when I'm not being harassed by kids and Hubby is home watching TV.

YAY for finishing the edit!!!

I'm going to quickly get caught up and make sure my internet security program has its updates, hopefully I can get things all done before the next wave of storms hit! I need another coffee too.... I'll post if another wave of storms comes through if I can. Cheesy

The ham has been boiled off (to remove some of the salt, start in cold water) and is now in a low oven beginning the roasting part of getting it ready for supper. I'll get the potatoes for the thyme-spice roasted wedges soaking and washed in a few minutes so they're dry enough to coat in oil, spices and dried thyme in a couple of hours.

I'm also deep into the reread of Penth's Book 1 and will be continuing on with that between things even though the eyes are crossed. I'm thinking another cup of half caff coffee is in order.....

I spent the last couple of hours deep into Book 1, I'm somewhere in Chapter 9. I was in Chapter 3 when I started reading earlier today. I had forgotten how good it is! LOL
