	The DOT has put neon orange makers on the road here and there. I'm thinking they're getting things prepped to repave the dratted road... I hope so at least, our road is full of potholes that are so big they would swallow a garbage truck!!!!

	Morning. It's chilly here too but considering the triple digit temps we had this summer, I am NOT gonna complain! I expect the electric bill to be MUCH lower this month. Skywise has taken the cats out to make up for them having to be in all day yesterday. Spirit thinks we should go someplace but if we do, it won't be any farther than town for a late lunch.

	I've been procrastinating too... I'd rather sit here and mull over ideas for NR instead of doing housework. Hubby is doing yard work so things are quiet at the moment... I'm able to THINK for once....

	I'm currently debating whether or not Book 4 should start more or less immediately after the end of Book 3 or if I should give the "cast" a break and let them "rest up" for a year or so before throwing them into the fire again.... I've also decided that I'm going to include an excerpt from Book 2 at end of Book 1 when I epublish it. I've even got the scene picked out....

	I'm leaning in that direction. There are a couple of situations that I want to have set up when things really get rolling in Book 4 and skipping a year means I won't have to fill in all that material. I can go "Okay, it's been a year. Our Hero has six (more or less, I haven't decided yet) baby nieces courtesy of his older brother, a number of "interesting" handfastings have occurred and the Constitution is finally ready to be put to a vote." Anything that needs more explanation can be told in flashbacks. Otherwise, Book 4 might end up being Books 4 and 5 and I'd like to avoid that if I can!

	Exactly. In your case, it would work. They need peace for a while and it wouldn't hurt them at all! LOL I do a little more than a year "off" in mine, the biggest gap is SIX years and I'm only showing a few flashbacks. The characters do talk about that time in their lives a little and what I do mention in the book will be enough to fill in the gaps. Sometimes less is more, as we've both learned!

	Yep. If I put a gap between Books 3 and 4, I intend for it to be a fairly calm interlude with the biggest thing going the nuts and bolts of creating their country which "should" be a rather boring business with groups of people debating the merits of the new constitution. And we're heading into town for a bit -- lunch and shopping -- and I'll be back soon.

	And we're back! I was bad. I got some "tissue lame" fabric in metallic silver and I'm gonna make a dance skirt out of it. The care instructions say "Dry clean only" but I know that this stuff ravels like "heck" so I'm going to take a piece (I bought extra) hem it on all sides and gently hand wash and line dry it and see what happens. The extreme raveling could very well be the reason for "dry clean only." I think that a metallic silver skirt with a black bra/belt set would be gorgeous and I want to put that theory to the test!

	I've got the first coat of paint on the "cover" for Book 1. [You'll understand when I unveil it.] With luck, I'll get the second coat on tonight and be able to start the detail work over the weekend. I was telling Skywise earlier what I'm going to have to do -- some of which will involve him as "administrator" of our home computer network -- so he'd be in the loop and thereby keep me from giving the computers a nervous breakdown....

	I'm back. I have been up for a couple of hours but I let the guys have the computer until bedtime. I'm going to be around for an hour or so, not too late because I have to get up at 5 a.m. I'm going to be rereading NR's second half while I'm around so I may be quiet by times.
