Yeah, a separation serves your purposes right now and either of you can always file later if that turns out to be what is best for all concerned. Taking care of yourself and your son should be your priority now.

Dishes are mostly done and I'm going to edit what I wrote today while figuring out how to "transition" from the scene I was writing into the next one of C33...

Looks like we got back just in time. We have more rain incoming. Doesn't look like it is gonna be severe but if the rain is heavy enough, I could lose the satellite for a bit.

I'm not even emailing the stalker a copy, nor is my sister getting one.... I have a VERY short list of people who will be getting "prescreenings" and that's less than 10 people. I already promised a certain mentor of mine she'll be getting one and so will my peapod... Other than those two, I may have two others on the "ultra short list" besides my MIL. I just saw that "50 Shades" has been banned in a few states and some libraries won't even show it on the shelves.

Yeah, it is garbage and a waste of space/paper/ink but that's going a little too far in my opinion.

The backlash has started.
I haven't checked our local library but I suspect that if they do have it in their collection, it routinely "disappears" like "occult" books do. Some people take it upon themselves to keep "unsuitable" material out of the library. I HATE the Guardians of Public Morals. I can guard my OWN morals, thank you very much!!

I know it. I was wondering when this kind of thing was going to start and I'm surprised it didn't happen until now!

Like one of my friends said, if they ban that series, they should ban ALL books that are erotica disguised as a romance novel. Another friend said that if people want to read it, they should have the choice to be able to, and if they don't, they can just leave it on the shelves and get something else.

I fully agree with it. Even though I have said a LOT of snarky things about 50 Shades in the past. Banning it is WRONG.

I don't want to read ANY of the 50 Shades books but I'm not going to get upset because it's there! I'm not a "moral policeman", my morals are perfectly fine as they are without someone else pushing their "cleaner" stuff on me, thank you!!

My disgust has nothing to do with morality and everything to do with quality. Not to mention editing and proofreading before publication! Every damned source I consulted on manuscript preparation stressed again and again the importance of good grammar, spelling, punctuation and the need to proofread until your eyes fell out BEFORE submitting it to anyone.
Then something like 50 Shades comes along with its grammatical errors, gets published by a traditional house and shoots to the top of the best seller list.
Have I mentioned how thoroughly and completely that POs me?
And probably a lot of other hardworking writers trying to break into the field?

Yeah, I know it PO's you, BIG TIME. It PO's me too, after seeing what you went through to get to the almost published point!!

Aspiring author here, who is almost finished her first complete NOVEL. (It's a LONG one, not as long as yours Penth, but it's long for its genre!) Seeing something like 50 Shades get published with all of it's problems and such by a "REPUTABLE" publishing house, knowing I probably won't have a chance, "TICKS" me off too... BIG TIME!!!  Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

I read the exact same stuff you did about punctuation, proofreading, etc too, years ago... That's why I don't stop editing until the eyes, the fingers, the nose, mouth and brain are hemorrhaging!!

The scene I'm working on in C33 will probably wrap up the chapter... The "teaser" scenes are almost as much fun to write up as the "full blown over 18 ones"... Hehehehehehehe.... Cheesy

That's okay. I've been keeping an eye on things in here, acting goofy with some friends in FB and working on wrapping up Chapter 33 in NR. ALMOST done that chapter, finally... C34 will be started soon, just a few more paragraphs at the most, I think.... Cheesy

I managed to get the last coat of silver paint on the cover design today. Unfortunately, some of it "wandered" and touchup painting with black will be necessary. I am hoping that I can get the touchups right on the first try and be done with it soon.
