	Janus Lady Purrington The Bravest, Strongest, and Most Courageous Little Kitten I have ever know. Bravely fought an eye infection and roundworms, only to fall before a deadly virus. She held on on the way to the vet's, even though she could have let go sooner. I stayed by her side when I discovered her dying this morning. I held on to her fragile body even after she peed on me. I told her I Love her so many times so they'll be the last words she'll hear and know that she was loved. I told her never to forget that she was the bravest, strongest, and courageous kitten I have ever met and I love her for it. I think about what would have been, had she not been infected. I'm sure she would have fit in with the other kitties. The kits would have a new sister to play with, the War Queen would not be amused, and the boy cats will have to get used to a new kitten again. And I would sing to her as she sleeps, letting her know how lucky she was to be with us. She would have been one of the many cats who sat on my lap. She would have been Spirit's best friend, attacking her toes, following her around, and sleeping on her bed with her. She would have acted like any other kitten, romping and playing while we watched. I will miss you even if you were here for a short time. I will leave you with the Soft Kitty Song from The Big Bang Theory: Soft kitty, Warm kitty, Little ball of fur. Happy kitty, Sleepy kitty, Purr, purr, purr...

	Thank you everyone. It is the best thing I can do for her now. I want her to be remembered even if she lived a short life. Not many kittens in her situation were lucky enough to have died knowing they were loved. I was with her the most, even spent the night with her at the Guest House. She'd climb onto my lap and I would pet her while talking to her. I even told her the story of how we got the Prince of Midnight! I would clean the guk out of her eye and wiped her after she went potty. I cleaned up what she had thrown up, cursing the roundworms as I disposed of them, and put her in the litter box when she was about to make a mess. No kitten deserves to suffer like she did. The thought that she may have been dumped is too disturbing and horrible to bear. I rather not imagine the sort of heartless person who would do this to an innocent kitten like her. I am glad there are people who care enough to give kittens to other people, though. The kits were well-cared for even before we adopted them. And Golden Boy was lucky enough to be found by my Dad not long after he was abandoned. She was a sweet little kitten and I wish I had her longer and gotten to know her better. She even loved my sister! I wonder if we would have gotten closer had she lived and I was spoiling her while she recovered.

	Don't think about the bad things Moonie, focus on the good. She was deeply loved, and that is what matters.

	Skywise has added a picture of Janus to the desktop rotation, one of the pictures Moonie took of her on Monday. When I'm feeling less wasted than I am right now, I'll post it here so everyone can see what a little sweetie she was.

	I was very lucky to have taken pictures of her when she was still alive and healthy enough to purr!

	Thanks! I wanted to give her a fitting memorial after what she went through. She deserves to be remembered, even if her time with us was short.
