Oh I would so LOVE IT if "it" came on while I was around and she didn't see me until it was TOO LATE....  Smiley

I have the external drive hooked up and copied some things from it that I used to use a LOT on the old computer... I kinda needed them here on this one too. I'm not quite done using them yet! Otherwise, the computer is still working in the background and I'm still editing. I thought I'd add a few things to the foundation of what I wrote today and am doing that now. Almost done, and I MAY start Chapter 46, if my brain and eyes will work right...

I added a snippet to one scene a few minutes ago. I know what's going to happen in the scene generally but the details have still to gel. And I STILL don't know exactly where it is going to go!

Been there, did that a few times myself with stuff... Gods, you should have seen the one scene in Chapter 12 of Book 2.... I had only bits and pieces of it written down on the fly, between keeping Son out of the computer area and the fact I wasn't sure exactly what was going to happen in it but "something" that wasn't fit for his eyes. It's been fleshed out, big time, and it turned out to be one of the most powerful scenes in the lead ups to the main couple getting together.

I'm trying to figure out how to start Chapter 47. I have an idea but not sure how to word it yet. Gotta think on it for a bit!

Unless inspiration hits me upside the head, I'm going to be doing a lot of "thinking" about how I want this once situation to play out. I have a feeling I'm going to be making a lot of placemats and napkins while I do it. Otherwise I may end up with no fingernails!

I'm doing a reread of the "UH OH" part of the book, from the end of Chapter 38 to Chapter 44 while I'm thinking. The hands are not great at the moment, so I'm using them minimally while I'm thinking.

Some of my fingernails are so long that they hit keys in the second row of the keyboard when I'm trying to hit ones in the home row and I hit ones in the fourth row when I try to hit the spacebar. Maybe it's time to file them down a little? *SHEEPISH GRIN!*

I have to clip mine periodically or the typos spring up like violets in the Spring. And I make enough of those without any help!

Mine tend to be ultra soft (I can bend all of them except for the thumbnails) and break after a while, so I tend to let them grow as long as they're not breaking off or cracking. I will trim them down sometimes but only if I see a crack at the end of one of them. Speaking of which, I just trimmed one because it had a crack in the end of it, right at the middle. It was quite a ways past the end of that finger and now feels weird with the somewhat shorter nail. *SIGH*

Mine break easily and grow fast so I have to stay on top of then. And, of course, when they break it's always down in the "quick" so I like to avoid it whenever possible.

Mine go that way too, and it hurts like old dickens when it happens. *SIGH*

Cat loves it when my nails are long, because she gets a really good scratch when she wants one. She'll lean into my hand, purr like crazy and demand more! LOL

Cat loves to be loved too but she's a sucker for chin scratches. I make sure she gets plenty, along with her regular cuddling from all of us.

I don't think I'm going to get any more added to Book 2 tonight. The brain is a little mushy. I still had a good day though despite Son being home for part of it, and am pleased even if I want to keep moving forward. I'm stopping the actual writing though, Hubby said I have three days ahead at the start of the week and I should shut up about it and recharge the batteries over the weekend.. I am allowed to edit the next couple of days but have orders to take Sunday off for Doctor Who again. Tongue
