It's mostly rain with a few flurries once in a while, but still, EW. Hubby has to drive home from work tonight in this cold and I hope the DOT salts everything because it's going to be icy if they don't.

The roads were dry by the time we went for the van so we're not expecting Skywise to have any problems.

The last load is almost done and the Queen is giving me "the eye" so I think I'll crash with her for a bit as soon as the washer stops.

I'm leaving in an hour, tops. I have a lot to do offline, like give Son computer time and get things ready for morning. I may work on character descriptions, etc offline too between things, no squirrels to distract me then! LOL

Makes me glad that this iMac is too narrow for any of the cats to perch on.

The last load of laundry is in the dryer and the dishwasher is running. I'm managing to touch up a few places in Book 4 before Agents of Shield comes on at 8. This is good.

Skywise is home after a TEN HOUR WORKDAY. They wanted him to stay longer until they realized that a third hour of overtime today would be at "penalty overtime" in Postal Service speak. In plain English, it's double time. They decided that they could manage....

We're back. The doc's office was packed to the rafters and was even MORE so after I was finished my checkup. I also had a flu shot, and Doc saw the tattoo on my right arm of the constellation of Leo... He asked me what it was and when I told him we were into astronomy and I like astrology, it turned into a long conversation about astronomy and comets. He likes astronomy too, and although his specialties are in the medical region, he's well versed in other sciences. It was cool, and I enjoyed that chat. Cheesy

Anyway, I'm here for the afternoon unless something changes. My right arm has a nice sore, itchy area on it thanks to the flu shot so I may not be in the best of moods.... I'm getting a few ideas here and there for the new idea so I may open Storybook after a bit and flop them down as they hit me from time to time. Cheesy

Music and coffee. Storybook is open on the taskbar and I'm bouncing around a few ideas. With a little luck, I "may" get a scene or two done on Friday, or if I'm VERY lucky, I'll figure out HOW to start this new idea. I'd like to get into this one like I did with Book 1 a couple of years ago, if I can do it!

My arm is really hurting now, so I'm going to get some aspirin and the ice pack. Hopefully that will help. *SIGH*

We're back too.

Skywise has a favorable first impression of the new doctor. I haven't met him so I don't have an opinion. Skywise is doing well and the doctor told him that if he loses another 20 pounds more or less, it might be possible for him to go off the bp medication. Since Skywise can lose weight without even trying, I figure that he'll be near that goal by his next checkup which isn't until next year.

Now I'm going to get caught up and figure out how I can get my weight loss started again.....

Oh, did you or Skywise happen to see the comet that's in the solar system? I started a thread about it and there's a short video comprised of stills put together with the article too. It's pretty cool. Our doc mentioned it this morning when he saw my Leo tattoo, and I went looking for images and articles about it online. I'll be showing it to Hubby tomorrow, he's off to work right now (half an hour early, into OT now!) and didn't have the time to see it today.

I've also found a few more astronomy pages on FB to follow. BONUS! Cheesy
