	New What's Happening thread time! The name of this one comes from the Doctor Who episode "The Angels Take Manhattan", which is the last episode you see the Ponds in. This is in honor of Doctor Who's 50th Anniversary coming up on the 23rd of this month. Heh. I'm a Whovian and so are my husband and son, so this kinda fits in for us.

	Skywise is on his way and it's cold here too and my ankles do NOT like it. Might have to get prone to get some relief. I took some aspirin three hours ago and it's only helped a little.

	Your ankles and my hands. SIGH We are quite the pair... CTS is affected by cold, it makes it act up worse than if the hands are warm. The blood vessels in the hands compress when they're cold and that makes the nerves compress too, which makes it act up. Same if the hands are too warm, the flesh swells, the nerves swell and OWIES. It's a balancing act. I'm only around for another 2 hours, tops. I'm tired and if I want to be able to see CSI this evening (early viewing) I have to avoid the eyestrain.

	SNERK Probably. I imagine my sister will take one HECK of a hissy fit when she finds that out. She thinks that trilogy is the "greatest love story of the twenty first century" and says that EL James is the best author on the planet. NOT saying what I really think because I've already said it a number of times....... I didn't even read the books. I mostly read sci fi and crime stories these days...........

	And about 50 Shades the Movie... It's going to have to be rated XXX or they'll have to combine ALL three books into one movie if they want it to be R or NR17 rated, cause they don't have much "vanilla" stuff to work with from what I've gathered.......

	I think that 3 movies are planned but if the first one fails to make a substantial profit the other two probably won't be made.

	A friend of mine is currently working on a few crime stories and when he's published I plan on reading them. He sent me a sample of two over the weekend and they were good reads. I'm now picturing a friend of mine on a sugar high and am now wanting to hide behind a plant in the staff room................

	Yes we are... It's only visible to a few people so I won't have to worry about backlash from certain quarters. I've had enough BS about how my writing is nothing more than "trashy romance" and how it "stinks to high heaven", yadda yadda yadda. If that person comes over here though, she'll get an eyeful. Oh well........

	Exactly and she knows it. I've mentioned how strict we are about being civil and polite to each other in here so she knows none of us staffers will tolerate it at all. She'd take the coward's way out anyway, and post something on HER profile where she knows you can't easily fillet her and her minions will help cheer her on.

	I do get a lot of odd looks when I get out of it though.. I normally wear beat up sneakers, a band tee shirt, jeans and a beat up leather biker style jacket, and here I am getting out of an older luxury car. It's funny to see some of the looks I get!
