Thanks... I was ducking because I have a lot of American friends who were rooting for the home team so to speak.

Women's ice hockey is really the only Olympic sport I care about and I'm proud of our ladies for winning gold for the fourth time in a row.

YIKES. Shocked Holy crap Penth, isn't it a tad early to be having tornadoes in your area????? Glad to know y'all are SAFE!!!

I'm here for a couple of hours then offline trying to write and getting ready for the live music this evening if the weather cooperates. I NEED a break from everything and I just need an hour or so where I can sit and relax and listen to some awesome music by some of our talented musicians! *SIGH*

Gas prices went up, which means Hubby will be getting the brunt of ticked off people. He doesn't have a darn thing to do with what the prices are, it's the regulation committee that chooses if prices go up or down so people should STOP screaming at him about it. *SIGH*

On that note, it's time to get offline and see if I can get moving in one of the WIPs... After I do a run through of ONE chapter of No Regrets to highlight a lot of the passive, wordy and other areas that need work!

See y'all in a few hours. I'm only going to be back for a couple of hours after the bus comes this afternoon, LIVE MUSIC TONIGHT and the guys are supposed to be on pretty much right away... CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!! Cheesy

Yeah, VE, it is early for tornadoes. Normally we don't have the temperature extremes that produce them this early in the year. Fortunately, all we got were straight line winds which are bad enough! I have tea and now I'm going to get caught up.

I'm just settling in to work. Skywise needed to do some stuff so I let him have the comp while I worked on "non-writing" things to settle my nerves. The wind picked up again at sunrise and has been blowing/gusting ever since.

Iz happy! My subscription to Writer's Digest has started! I got the issue that I already had today and the new one and it has a couple of things I'll be reading soon, if not today then over the weekend.

Here!  Smiley We didn't get out of the doc's office in time for Hubby to run us home before he had to go to work... So Son and I have to leave around 4:30 or so to go get Hubby.  Smiley

Last night was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of the bands were GREAT and I HAD SO MUCH FUN!!!!!  Smiley The lineup was Dirt Stache, Flesh Cauldron, Whom Gods Destroy and Vicious.... It was a range from classic/melodic metal (WGD) to hard rock/glam metal (Vicious) and death metal (Flesh Cauldron). Each band had their own unique energy and feel, and everyone did a great job during their set!

The only downside to the evening was two drunken dingbats. They did NOT follow etiquette for a live show in a tiny venue AT ALL and I wasn't the only one ready to clock them either. They only reason why they were not kicked out is because they knew the bartender. I figure if it had been anywhere else, those two would have been GONE LONG before the first band (Dirt Stache) was finished their set. Moshing in the designated area is one thing, getting in the band members' personal space WHILE THEY ARE PLAYING is another thing.

And a strange male touching me is bad enough if he's sober, when one puts their arm around me and they've been drinking, they'd better consider themselves lucky to walk away with ALL of their limbs.... CREEPS.  Smiley
