I'm going to be in and out today... Tomorrow is a writing day and I'm going to be trying to figure out a few things for Chapter 5, including that darn rewrite, and a few other things.

I've been fighting the urge to open "Away to Me" and work on its edits.... I still have over 2 months left to go in that one's first stasis cycle! Leaving that one ALONE.....

It's chilly with heavy rain and thundershowers here. Yuck. We do need the rain though so I'll stop complaining now.

Skywise is on his way to work. He's going to stop by his sister's and see how things are going. "I" have realized that my larp requires some guidance on character makeup for the races that require it. *sigh* More searching. At least with the long running popularity of the musical "CATS" and the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit movies, there are plenty of tutorials online for humanoid cats, dwarves, elves and "hobbits." They are, unfortunately, under copyright but at least they are there. I wish I could find a good reference book on the subject. Books may go out of print but they don't flat out disappear like a website can when the bill isn't paid. I'm going to be making pdfs today....

"Prone" sounds like a good idea. I've got the seed of an idea for a pivotal scene in Book 4 that I need to chew on and I'm wondering if I can arrange for Loki to do a "good deed" and stun everyone.....

I know I said night earlier in FB, but I'm bored and not sleepy, so I'm bouncing around online for a bit while I figure out a few things for the end of chapter 5 and start of Chapter 6.... I'm up to a pivotal point in the story and I gotta figure out just HOW to do it. Hmm...

I've been making sausage and reading what I have for Book 5 since I'm pretty sure that there should be some "foreshadowing" in 4 for Book 5. There's also the matter of "what happens when" to figure out. I'll probably be back working on 4 tomorrow since the idea I mentioned earlier is jelling a bit more -- still have some details to work out though.

That's one thing I like about a standalone story... Once you plot the timeline for it, you don't have to worry about getting things lined up from past books and for future books. I found writing my series (that's now shelved for a few years) took a lot of work, and figuring things out... Especially since I didn't realize it was going to be a series until AFTER I had the first book finished.

I won't be writing another series like my first one for a while. I'm focusing on the standalone stories until I hone the writing skills a lot more. I may do "loose series", like about a town, but not feature any of the future or past couples or characters in them a lot, more like brief mentions instead.

I may write some stand alones later on. It seems that the story that started with Homecoming isn't finished with me yet.

Went to town to run a few errands and I'm worn out. It's a gorgeous day out there though, and the windows are OPEN.

I'm not feeling the best right now. I'm tired, the pine pollen is making my sinuses and nose go crazy and the CTS is going nutso. I've been researching and doing quiet stuff that didn't require a lot of socializing. Not up to a lot of it today. *SIGH*

I'm back and I've been distracting myself with some research and chores while thinking about the section I'm writing in Book 4. I won't have an impressive word count today but it's an important scene since it results in Our Hero being put under a "suicide watch."
Yeah, what happens is THAT bad....

The afternoon bus has come and gone and so has my writing time. The CTS and neuralgia are REALLY bad right now, and I'm really wonky from going so darn fast again!

I still want to keep going! I'm in a groove right now and do NOT want to stop!

It started to rain about half an hour ago.
There was a lightning strike fairly close by about 20 minutes ago but the power stayed on -- didn't even flicker -- and aside from our ears ringing, no adverse effects.
Except that the roof has decided to leak. I'm thinking that the flashing around one of the vents needs to be resealed.
