Here we go... It's the last day of the school year before final report cards. I already know that Son is going into grade 4 with flying colors so it's just a matter of making sure he doesn't forget anything at school and making sure anything that belongs to the school is returned.

Next year, we may have a new bus stop, because the neighbor's daughter is going into grade 6, and the junior high end of the school complex. That means she'll be on a different bus in the mornings. So I have to call the bus garage around the 2nd of September to find out where we go in the mornings and where he'll be dropped off in the afternoons for the next two years. Fun stuff. NOT!!

We're hoping that his "supplies list" will be with his report card so we can get a jump on picking things up and beat the "back to school rush" in mid-August. And I'd like to be able to reuse a few things from this year, like his clipboard, if we're allowed. His clipboard is in almost new condition so if he needs one for next year, he already has it. Cheesy

I'll be in and out today... I have a ton of laundry to do and a lot of other things. I may even write for a bit if I have any time. Cheesy

Morning.

One thing about living out here, the girls (and me when I went to school) were picked up at the end of our driveway (which wasn't a driveway when I was in school but you get it) which made it handy.

We're expecting more rain today with "localized flooding" no less. There won't be any flooding here but I could and probably will be knocked offline at some point. I'll be here when I can.

Where there was already an established bus stop in our neighborhood, Son was picked up and dropped off there... He and the neighbor's girl were the only two on this stretch that were in the elementary end of the school until now.

We may wind up walking up to the next stop, which is about a ten minute walk away. I hope NOT, I hope it's just transferred over to the driveway across the road from our house. *SIGH*

I'm feeling rather anti-social today, so I'm going to go into FB and just relax for a while. I'm having one of my rotten as heck days. *SIGH*

Smiley Knowing someone out there understands is a huge help. Thanks Penth.

Well, Son got off the bus about an hour ago and is running errands with his dad. I don't feel up to doing much today so I'm just relaxing in between getting things organized for the summer.

Son's bookbag, his lunchbox, clipboard, binder, pencil case and indoor sneakers will be used again next year. I've taken the battery out of his "bus distraction" and that's put away too. I just have to wash and dry the recyclable/reusable things he has for his lunch - sandwich containers, etc - before I put them away for the summer. Everything is going into his book bag, and that will be put into a plastic bag on top of the fridge until a day or so before school starts in a couple of months.

Hard to believe how fast this last school year went by. It feels like we were only taking him in to meet his Grade 3 teacher yesterday. Shocked

First day of summer vacation... Son's watching stuff on the VCR. I'll be surprised if that thing isn't worn out or needs a cleaning by the time August rolls around.

All of his stuff that can be used again in the fall is packed away finally. He wasn't happy to see me putting everything into his bookbag and put it away. Tough scrambled eggs to him. Tongue

We ran into town to pay the electric bills. We got lunch and ordered a refill for one of Skywise's meds. We'll pick that up tomorrow either before or after we hit the grocery store in Bloomington.

I was up till 3:30 a.m. last night, editing and the eyes are still burning. I got up to Chapter 15, but I'm going to start at Chapter 11 and reread that area again just in case I missed something.

I did catch a few typos so yeah, letting it sit for a few weeks DID help in that respect.

I see "someone" is getting just a "little" ticked off about my writing and editing again... Time to up the chatter I guess.... Cheesy
