	Somewhat bummed. I was hoping that the bellydance troupe we saw at the State Fair a couple of years ago would be performing again this year and they are.. but NOT on a day and/or time when we can be there. sigh

	I've closed the house up. It's supposed to get into the low 50's tonight and that is TOO chilly! Besides. At that temp it would take FOREVER for the pizza crust to rise!

	I've been doing this and that between rain showers: did some picking up and dishes, washed my favorite hat (the cats found it, dragged it off and slept/shed all over it), read over "First Death" and corrected some typos and I'm currently figuring out how to have a city water system without electricity. The sewers are handled. It's the fresh water system I'm working on.

	Now that we have a bug zapper, I can honestly say I don't know why we didn't get one sooner! With all the flood water here, the skitters and midges have been unbearable, even with fogging. We've had the zapper plugged in for two days and now we can actually step outside without being swamped with bugs! It will actually be a pleasure to finish the yard work today. We went down and purchased the roofing supplies yesterday for this weekend. We decided on cedar-coloured. It accents the red brick nicely without making it pop too much. It will be so nice to have the roof done. One less worry! Then we have to look at new eaves and paint. Caught another furry little nemesis last night I will win! mwahahaaaa! Anyway, I think I need t make some tea and toast and wake up here.. off to a late start again!

	Assembly complete and the unit is in position. It's mostly loaded but I still have to deal with what was stacked where it is now. Methinks that the shredder is going to get a workout. But first, I need to have a snack, get prone and cut a larger top for the unit which will make it just the right size to set a dinner tray on. Which was a major consideration. That and having someplace convenient to put the gaming books I'm probably going to be using at least until the end of the year....

	Being driven crazy! The phone keeps ringing and ringing and ringing. The one time I picked it up it was a recording saying it was a collect call from an "incarcerated person." The number is from Texas. I don't know anyone in Texas and I certainly don't know anyone who is "incarcerated." We've turned on the dialup to get a little peace.
