Time for tea!

The lawnmower repair is going to be a bit more difficult than Skywise first thought but he's pretty sure that it can be done. Hope so, getting a new mower would be a pain in the posterior right now.

Time for this sleepy little writerperson to head out.

I slept in too! 

Been under the weather here and it's been raining steady over the weekend so we didn't get accomplished the things we wanted to here. 

And now they are saying that they don't think things will warm back up...  If THAT was our summer I want a do-over!

Good luck with the lawn-mower.  I think we'll be hauling ours out  today if it doesn't rain.  The grass finally grew again now that it's wet!   Catch you a bit later after I catch up on things around here.

Skywise has the super late shift for the next two weeks. That isn't a problem except for tomorrow when he has a 9 o'clock dental appointment. We'll be getting about 4 hours of sleep before we have to get up. Naps are DEFINITELY on the schedule tomorrow!

The storage unit is FINALLY ready to assemble. All I have to do is make enough space in the basement to put it together. Then Skywise and I will haul the pieces down here and get them in the basement. *sigh* If I were 30 years younger and/or I had good knees, I could probably manage alone but I don't so it will take both of us to get the components into the basement. I'm going to assemble it right in front of where it will be standing so all I have to worry about is getting it upright and "walked" into place once it is put together.
Then it's on to the next project!

Skywise is home. He was able to get off a couple of hours early so we'll be able to get a little more sleep before his dental appointment. So I'm going to head out and get started on my sleeping.

We're back finally and I'm not sure if I'm going to collapse or not. There is STILL a lot to do. *sigh*

The assembly area for the storage unit is cleared out. It will be tight but with careful shifting around, I'll be able to do it.
The body is now demanding that I get prone.
I am going to listen. Later.

"Prone" helped a little but not much. Skywise is about to leave and I think I may get off my feet a while longer. On the plus side, I've figured out a cool bit for the short story that "could" lead to Our Heroine being where I need her to be. Just gotta work out the particulars.

Morning.
Bummed. Skywise got home last night and told me that he'll be working straight through until NEXT Saturday -- a twelve day work week. He'll get double time for one day and time and a half for another and holiday pay plus his regular pay for Monday which will make for a very fat check but STILL! I'd prefer him not being worked to death this close to retirement.....
Adding insult to injury, Monday is our wedding anniversary and he'll be working. *sigh*

The body is NOT happy but all the screws are put into the storage unit. It's as done as it can get until we hit a home improvement store for the braces Skywise wants to put on it.

In other news, SunLord dodged a "bullet." He threw up on my sewing cabinet and missed my sewing machine by fractions of an inch. I normally leave it out and uncovered but that's gonna change. All I have to do now is find its case which "should" be catbarfproof! 

Skywise isn't home yet but I'm going to head out. I'm too sleepy to write anymore on Cliffside Story tonight but it's coming along nicely. I'll probably end up editing out some of what I wrote tonight but that isn't definite. It will depend on if there is a upper limit on the word count and what it is. I'll make decisions about editing when I have the whole thing written and can read it straight through. In any event, this sleepy writerperson is heading out.
