	We're back from Bloomington having hit Target, the grocery store and the food court at the mall, not necessarily in that order. And the drive home was hot. One the plus side, I'll get the PVC fittings I ordered today so I can start playing around with what amounts to tinker toys made of PVC.

	My PVC pieces arrived and a search on amazon turned up other interesting fittings that are giving me all sorts of ideas. Those pieces are currently out of stock but I'll be adding them to my inventory when I can. Much experimentation is in my future....

	You know someone has turned irretrievably toxic when just reading their facebook page gives you a headache in less than a minute. There is WAY too much hate/rage/bitterness there for me to handle and I'm not going to force myself to try. sigh

	I will be SO glad when this two week stint of "superlate shift" is over -- which will tomorrow night. We've been able to get a lot done but I am SO tired right now, all I want to do is go to bed and it will be about five and half hours before I can.....

	I've managed to wake up a little thanks to a liberal application of caffeine. Dishes are washed and the load of laundry I needed to get done is sitting in the dryer where it will probably stay until tomorrow. Dinner has been started....

	Skywise is home. He has to work on Saturday which will make it 13 straight days without a day off. The caffeine is wearing off and I'm fading fast. I'm heading out while I can still keep my eyes open. Everyone sleep well and be safe.

	Afternoon. We took off again this morning. The van needs a turn signal bulb which is not available in town as it turns out. Skywise tracked one down in Greenwood so we will hopefully get it tomorrow. I am SO looking forward to Sunday when I hope I can actually get enough sleep. I may nap all next week! Right now I have too much caffeine in me to nap but there is DEFINITELY a nap in my future at some point today! Now to get caught up......

	I've been indulging in a guilty pleasure this afternoon. I bought a couple of romance anthologies a while ago and discovered a new author, Loretta Chase. I've ordered a couple of her books -- which have interconnected characters which is a situation I love -- and I've been reading the first one which arrived today. The heroine is a real hellraiser -- toward the end of the book she gets in a knife fight with a murderous madam -- and the hero is just as bad as she is. They are quite delightful, the both of them! Plus there is a "happy ending" for a rather endearing if not terribly bright character from her story in the anthology that made me happy too. I'll get back to my own work once my brain is refreshed. There's nothing like a really interesting, rip-roaring bodice ripper to recharge the brain.

	We have incoming weather. Hopefully it will be through here before Skywise has to drive in it. I'm glad I've already had a nap since it looks like it will be getting noisy around here in a while, a couple of hours at most.

	The "storm" didn't amount to much but there could be some minor action before the night's over. In any event, I'm heading out. One more day and he'll FINALLY get a day off. 	Afternoon. We got home a little over an hour ago and Skywise has left for work. Thank the Gods he will get a day off tomorrow. I suspect that anyone who suggests that he work Sunday would be taking their life in their hands.... Thank the Gods -- AGAIN! -- That our vacation (3 weeks worth) starts a week from today.

	Long dreary day. I got a few things done but I'm hoping to get more done tomorrow when I can sleep until I wake up instead of when I have to wake up and get a good start on what I want to get done. We got the rest of the shelves I needed to finish the storage unit so except for some minor putting in of screws, that project is finished. Depending on how much laundry I get done tomorrow, I'll probably start moving things around in the basement so I can get to the next stage of organizing down there. It's still a disorganized mess but I can see improvement even if no one else can.

	Afternoon. Skywise is working on the lawnmower. Things aren't going well. Last night's power outage was caused by a car hitting a utility pole and they had to cut the power to get the car off the pole. They will be cutting the power again when they replace the pole but I don't know if they'll be doing that today or tomorrow. sigh I just got up so it's time for tea and a bite to eat.

	Afternoon! We were successful! We found a suitable machine at our first stop and it will be delivered on the 17th. Skywise will be on vacation then so he'll be able to get this hayfield we call a yard brought under control. The new mower has a wider cut than the old one so once the first cut is done -- which will take a while -- the regular mowing shouldn't take as long as it has. I was also able to get the wood I need to start on the bookcases for the basement. I don't know how much I'll be able to get done before October but I may be able to work on it while Skywise is cutting the grass.

	We found the hornets' nest. It's about 50 feet from the house which is why we keep seeing so many of them. They've made their nest in a tree hollow which is why we didn't spot them sooner. The instantly recognizable nest is hidden inside the tree. Sneaky bugs!

	I got my walk in today for the first time since it got hot and humid. It is now downright cool and the humidity is really low so I was able to walk without my lungs seizing up from the heat and humidity. I will now get some dishes washed so I can get dinner started in about 90 minutes....
