We're back from a successful expedition to the hobby shops. I have enough materials to keep me out of trouble for a while at least. Winter is coming and I'll need something to keep my fingers busy when I'm not typing.

Skywise is in bed and I'm going to join him. We're going to a festival at the local honey farm and we want to get there early. There will be helicopter rides weather permitting and we all want to take one and last year the lines were long.

We're back from the Honey Festival. Fun. Good food and I got my helicopter ride! On the way home, we stopped in town for more food and then went to Rural King where I got more pvc fittings and a couple of pieces of pipe. Skywise and I did a little testing with it and I can confirm that one idea I've had will work. Now to get cooled off and caught up.

Just found a nest of really young baby rabbits in the Guest House front yard. They're very tiny and their eyes are still closed. Skywise mowed that part of the yard yesterday and judging from the little ones' activity, Mom Bunny is still around. Moonie took some pictures and I showed her, Spirit and Skywise where the nest is. Thank the Gods he had the mower set at the highest possible setting when he cut that section yesterday.....

We're back.
The world is full of loonies.
Most of them have driver's licenses apparently obtained from boxes of Cracker Jack.
A large percentage seem to be on the road in Indiana today.....

I'm feeling somewhat less "stuffed", thank goodness! We've decided to stay home tomorrow -- we need a rest from the vacation -- and go to Mounds State Park on Tuesday. Skywise has promised that we'll get home early and I'll have plenty of time to get dinner out of the way before the season premiere of Agents of SHIELD comes on at 9. Right now, I'm going over "First Death" since it's "set" for a while and the mistakes and places that need tweaking are making themselves more noticeable.

"First Death" looks like it is going to end up being a novella. It's already a bit long to be a short story and more needs to be added. But not tonight. My eyes are killing me. Tomorrow will be soon enough to tackle it so I'm heading out.

Dinner's over. I'm stuffed but not as much as I was last night since I ate my dinner and part of Spirit's too -- don't worry, she got exactly what she wanted and Skywise and I ate what she didn't want. Couldn't let that baked potato, salad and soup go to waste!

I just ordered two more books for my "Writer's Library". I'm going to be hitting the ground running when this vacation is over. I'm learning a lot from the reading I'm doing and I'm eager to put it into practice. Fortunately, I can run the dishwasher and do the laundry while I'm writing.... Smiley

We are not happy. When going over the receipt from Walmart we found over $10 in overcharges. Skywise is on his way to town to get that money back. Spirit when with him and Moonie and I are holding the fort.

In theory, the printer and the copier "should" be able to communicate which would be great since instead of using the printer to print something, we could use the copier. That would eliminate a whole step when I needed multiple copies of something that was "in" the computer. There are probably other interesting applications that I haven't though of. Anyway, Skywise is trying to figure out how to make it happen..
