	Afternoon. We went on a minor supply run this morning since Spirit was getting antsy. We had lunch, picked up a few things and came home. Spirit is happy and making sure that we don't forget to pay the electric bills and the mortgage on Monday. Now to get caught up.

	Skywise got his order from House of Staunton and he's a happy camper. He has different sets to represent different eras which means that he's a certifiable "chess nerd" which was pretty well established when I met him so it's no surprise. Post # 34,634

	My eyes are giving me fits today, especially the left one. If nothing else breaks and needs to be repaired or replaced we "should" be able to get some new glasses for me the end of next month or in March. Spirit says she needs new glasses too but hers tend not to be as expensive as mine. She doesn't need an extremely strong prescription for trifocals -- a fact for which I'm pathetically grateful. sigh Time to get offline and close my eyes for a while.

	Afternoon. I don't know what I did to it but my right hand hurts when I use my index finger (specifically) or put any pressure on my hand (generally). There's some swelling just below the knuckle of my index finger between it and my middle finger which is where the pain is centered. I've had it before but it's been a while. sigh It's gonna be a long day.

	Skywise won't be home for another two and a half hours at least but I'm heading out anyway. The longer I sit here the more I want to "do stuff" that uses megabytes and keeping the Queen off the keyboard isn't doing my hand any good. So I'm going to get offline and read a little and maybe fool with some graphic designs for Samgara. I have the central element for the Order of Dark Knights' coat of arms -- it's the mark all members of the Order have tattooed on their bodies -- and the fact that it will be backed by silver. Other than that, I'm at sea. I have a better idea what the coat of arms for Our Heroine's father looks like so all I have to do is assemble/draw the components. Anyway.... 	Afternoon. Skywise has to work today. My hand still hurts. Double We're supposed to get "rain turning into snow" tomorrow.. Triple... you get the idea! On the bright side, there should be three packages in today's mail, one being the pack for the "carry along" first aid kit. Mine's black -- of course!

	Skywise walked in 15 minutes ago, dinner is almost done he'll get a hot meal for a change. I've managed to read a bit more in the Scrivener user manual and I "think" I'm almost to the point where I can start the "hands on" part of the learning process. I've had a few more twinges while cooking but nothing as bad as last night.

	I ate entirely too much but I make SUCH good soup! Spirit has indicated that I should try my hand at a chicken stew so I'll be looking for a recipe that I can engineer to fit Skywise's low sodium preferences. 	Afternoon. We hit the ground running this morning, got home, got busy and got him out the door about 45 minutes ago. I've been getting caught up during gaps in the "busy" and I'm thinking of going offline and making some headway in my reading. My nails also need painting. The Iced Tea machine needs to be de-limed. And I have a three "coats of arms" that need to be worked on. And I need to transfer the data from the flash drive that broke to its replacement. And I need to add minutes to my phone..... And it looks like I have a "To Do" list.... Later.

	Checking in. I finished one book I was reading. I'd have done more reading but The Queen decided to use me for a sofa and it's hard to hold a book when the upper left side of your chest is being occupied by 11+ pounds of cat! The iced tea machine is currently getting the vinegar treatment and I'm not sure what I'll do next. There are some dishes that need washing or I may try to read a bit more since the Queen is snoozing on the bed and NOT on me....
